The phenomenon of the Holocaust is the first formal recognition of the criminal domain of genocide considering guidelines of international law.

The formation of the Genocide Convention was the major development to significantly address the issue of genocide. The central aim of this international effort is to ensure proper protection of basic human rights for all the individuals irrespective of their connection with specific races or ethnic groups. Unfortunately, the approach of the Genocide Convention is completely ineffective to provide better social grounds to all human beings and eradicate the risk of genocide for any group. The current cases of genocide in Sudan, Darfur, and Zimbabwe are explicit examples of the insignificant role of the Genocide Convention. The international community needs to make better valuable efforts to eliminate the option of genocide from the entire world.

[Office Address of Representative]

Dear Representative,

I would like to share with you my concerns about an important social issue that has been affecting the youth of our country adversely. I have observed and researched as well on the issue of drug abuse, which compelled me to write to you so that immediate necessary actions could be taken in this regard. The US is facing this issue on high rise since the last three decades. The drug abuse has been proving costly to our nation that is estimated to be more than 740 billion dollars finally (Abuse). The main source of information on drug abuse and related issues, NSDUH (National Household Survey on Drug Abuse), issues reports periodically that present a discouraging situation of the country's population in this regard. The use of marijuana has increased in the last decade. Marijuana has been reported also as the most prevailingly used illicit drug in the country (Abuse). Its physical, psychological, and social hazards are evident. The opioid epidemic has devastated a large number of individuals across the country. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, about ninety individuals die daily due to opium-related incidents (Opioid Abuse Deterrence, Research, and Recovery Act | U.S. Congressman Mark Meadows).

Facts and figures indicate a very disappointing situation in society due to increasing drug abuse in individuals. Many people, especially the youth, have been addicted to drugs, which is causing hindrance to their career growth, affecting their health, and unbalancing their lives. The number of affected individuals is disturbing. Addiction of harmful drugs is potentially damaging our society which will ultimately affect the overall output of the country. Families and communities have been torn apart by the prevalence of drug abuse. The recruiters quote frequently that many applicants of jobs cannot qualify for the work positions just because they cannot pass their medical tests due to the involvement in drug abuse. The crimes taking place in the country have reasons behind that include drug abuse mainly. An important research conducted by NSDUH found that more than thirty-three percent of the US civilization, that is, the non-institutionalized adults, are involved in prescription opioid use. The main motivation has been recorded to be the relief of physical pain. Among these individuals, a substantial number is involved in misuse of the substance. Besides relieving pain, other reasons for prescription opioid use can be behavioral health problems or economic disadvantages experienced with increased intensity (Han et al.). The study proposed an improvement in the pain treatment by using evidence-based pain management system.

The aforementioned details of the situation and other available data on the issue calls for immediate action by the government authorities to make our society clean from this social evil. I can understand that the required change cannot occur in one day. Yet, I want to assert that the need for instant necessary initiatives is undeniable, and we must strive hard to reach our goal in this regard. As per my understanding, the government should restrict the availability of prescription opioid drugs in the society. The medical practitioners should prescribe these drugs to the minimum so that people can have a minimal chance of misusing these types of drugs. Regulations regarding the use of illicit drugs by individuals must be revised so that they cannot find any flexibility in the implementation of law to this end. Drug-free community programs implemented by the government should be redesigned to comprehensively deal with the problems of individuals affected by substance abuse (“Drug-Free Communities”).

Sincerely,

(Signature)

Poor Kids Essay

In the documentary ‘Poor Kids’, it has been shown via a process study that how the availability or unavailability of resources locate people in different classes. These resources can vary among financial, cultural, human and social capital. The financial capital has a wide range as it influences other domains of life too. It includes the availability of enough money to provide for a person’s education and all other things that are needed for the studies, such as personal room, computer or a board at college. These factors then eventually effect an individual’s career and promotion. It defined a complete set of principles of a lifestyle. In this video, the children who were part of this study faced issues related to financial capital one way or another. While some complained about not having their own rooms while others complained about not having a house of their own and living in the homeless shelters. They faced bullying at their school due to their financial situation. Some feared being ending up just like parents where they cannot provide enough for their family. While some children even dropped out and others could not continue after high school. The financial conditions affect the chances of an individual to have a brighter future or having a stable job due to lack of confidence and disbelief in themselves.

The cultural capital helps in gaining experiences and skills at educational institutes that eventually promote the desired future outcomes. It includes having a family actively involved in meeting with the teachers in order to ensure the child is doing fine. In this video, all these kids belonged to a poor or middle class and some of their parents showed concerns related to the education of their kids. They kept themselves engaged in conversations that motivate them to do better and share information with each other to maintain a healthy family environment. The human capital is an important aspect of schooling and family grooming. It offers children with a set of abilities to prosper in their professional careers. In the video, it could be seen that how majority of the children and their families ensured that their kids completed their studies. They realize the importance of education and skills as they have been the victim of the system for so long themselves. However, some kids astray from the right track as their parents are extremely busy in making both ends meet anyhow. In such cases of neglect, kids lose important part of their educational lives. The social capital is primarily dependent on the social networks and groups that assist in the future prospects. These links with the strong and influential people can also improve an individual’s financial culture or political culture. In the video, those kids and their families lacked the presence of strong links to help them out of their social conditions except for one family where their grandma provides them means to continue a normal life. These all kinds of capitals are interrelated with one another.

Sociologists have long argued that each social class has their own distinct set of values and resources which are called habitus. It influences children’s lives such as their daily life activities, vacations, leisure activities and education. Their activities and ideas are shaped strongly by their habitus. However, the born rich children come with a number of privileges for all aspects of their lives. In the documentary ‘Born Rich’, it is evident that children who come from rich families have different attitude towards life. They are secure yet some think that they have to maintain the hard work in order to keep up the family name. Others feel proud of where they come from and like the attention they receive for their last name. The American perspective of achieving upward mobility through hard work is in shambles for people with privileges get it all but the under deserving take a toil for being who they are or where they come from. The current system seems to only support those who already have some kind of help while the poor remain in a state of wonder if the state even cares for them.

American Popular Culture and the Economy

When it comes to the definition of Popular Culture, we find that the concept is multi-faceted and variable. But mostly this concept relates to culture, arts and some extent, the entertainment industry. In this paper, we will be discussing only one aspect of this concept, which is the economic effects of the popular culture on American society as a whole.

Popular Culture and Leisure Time

One point of view from which the concept of popular culture can be viewed is the purpose that it serves in the leisure time of the average American citizen. Some of the goods that come under his ambit of popular culture are free public goods, such as books and the internet that we use in public libraries. Others come with costs attached, like renting out a movie or going to attend a sponsored cultural event. The creators, producers, writers and the distributors of these paid popular culture goods and services need to feel that they are getting a decent sum from their investments in the area, otherwise, they would simply invest in another area. Here, we can see that many popular goods have withstood the test of keeping the interest of the average person intact, as an average person often keeps the circle running with his credit card. This is how the trends in popular culture end up reflecting the activities of one's leisure time concerning the shifting trends of popular culture goods.

Some pointers affect these leisure time activities of the average American. These are changes in technology, acquisition of companies that produce goods and services related to popular culture, and certain imposition and variation of rules and regulations that are frequently done by the federal and/or state governments. Also, there are the effects of large entertainment powerhouses as many of them have the expertise to produce more than one kind of popular culture goods and services.

Popular Culture and Information Sector

The goods and services in the information sector include numerous articles like publications like newspapers, books and periodicals, motion pictures, TV and Radio broadcasts, the sound recording studios, the emerging social media platforms like YouTube and Dailymotion, and the various cable networks. The common thing in these aforementioned products is the use of a variety of media in making and disturbing these products. As of the year 2019, we can see that there is a decline in the continental media products as the social media platform is gaining the attention of the average consumer by leaps and bounds.

Some large multinational US corporations have managed to capitalize on this fact and have therefore succeeded in establishing a sort of Oligopoly on the media-based industries. These six major groups are the General Electric, Disney Entertainment, News Corporation, the Time-Warner Group, Sony Entertainment, and Viacom Group. Between themselves, they own the top 25 media-based entertainment powerhouses of the US.

These powerhouses affect the American public in various ways. For example, Disney has particularly affected the young female section of the American population as many young girls are fantasized by the glamourous images that their motion-pictures and theme parks convey. Also, Disney is now one of the best merchandises producing and selling corporation in the entire world, which serve them numerous purposes, such as raising money to cover the costs of their motion pictures, acting as their promotion and helping them in studying the trends that would prove helpful in their future projects.

A major influence of this association inside the whole media industry is the freedom that the government allowed in cross-ownership restrictions through the Telecommunication Deregulation Act of 1996 and the steps taken by the Federal Communications Commission. These legislative acts have managed to act as promoters of the practice of perfect competition by removing court-ordered barriers. Another major influence is the excessive use of technology. The sudden improvement in broadband internet has allowed various cable companies to offer the services of "Video on Demand" movies. This technology has also helped the TV and Radio broadcasters to enhance their quality as well as increase their reach to capture the attention of more audiences in American society.

Popular Culture, Arts and Entertainment

There is certain overlapping when it comes to the Information Sector and Entertainment sector of the popular culture economy, yet the difference is that the latter concentrates more on the performing and recreational side of entertainment for the general public. This sector is generally divided into three sectors. One of these sectors is the combined conglomerate of Spectator Sports, Performing Arts, and other related industrial ventures. These ventures play the biggest role in shaping American society as we know it. People idolize these musical groups and artists such as "gangsta rappers" and "metalheads". These popular culture events comprise of producers, distribution and recently, social media promotors. These popular culture events have significant contributions to both the cultural and the economic aspects of the society, as very often we see that the current accultured American society uses the aforementioned mediums to gain cultural and political support, and in some rare cases, even political goals as well.

While this area has helped in the enhancement of the economic aspect of certain popular culture products, it has also affected some in negative ways. In this century, there has been a sharp decrease in reading and face-to-face socializing activities. Many parents are also concerned about how these media-related products affect the minds of the young in the most negative ways.

Conclusion and Reflection

From the above data, we can see that popular culture is not just about the culture of our country. It is also about the functioning and the tolerance of the American society. It is about how we spend our leisure time. It is about how we are affected by the entertainment and media industries and how they use us to gain monetary gain and how that affects society as a whole. In the end, we can conclude that popular culture is not just about the way we think, but it is about how society responds to the whole scenario. It is about how popular culture ends up following the whims of the public and vice versa. Also, popular culture is a significant part of our society, therefore it is the need of the day that we should study the concept of Popular culture while keeping the aspect of economics in mind. There are also Globalized effects of this phenomena as well that are yet to be understood, but the main point that we should understand that we are the champions of democracy and the symbol of the free world, therefore it is only natural that our society is seen as a status symbol in the rest of the world, particularly in the developing world. Therefore, it is only fair that we study our popular culture in detail while keeping in mind the economic impacts that it currently has on our society, and also ant future impacts that it may have soon in the future.

Position Paper Two – Media and Society

Introduction

Media and society are closely interconnected, where media plays an important role in shaping the lifestyle and opinion of masses. Similarly, the society provide trust and support to the media for disseminating certain information. Thus, it is essential to built public trust not only regarding information, but also to safeguard privacy and refrain from online harrasements. However the question arises that “ who is responsible for ensuring the trust between media and society”. Competing for a government representative position has essential duty towards the emerging trends in the society and to tackle public concerns and social media and public trust is one of priority of current compaign. As Matt Goulart quoted “Social media is about the people, not about your business. Provide for the people and the people will provide for you.

Discussion

A democratic government promises to provide the freedom of speech to citizens, however, it is important to efficiently utilize the right. Public supports for free speech is increasing due to first amendment, however we should also take measures to restrict hate speech as well. Social media bulling has increased the tendency of hate speech, where ethnic and racist hatred is widely prevailed. The representative government is responsible for the awareness of first amendent that the right to free speech should not be confused with hatred and offensive statements.

Mostly, media shares incorrect information about public officials and their activities which misleads both government and the public. This has resulted in significant decline in the public’s trust towards the elected government in many nations. Also, uncredible reporting is a threat to democracy where it shape the opinions in wrong way at times and independent states are at the risk of instabilities. It is applicable for any democratic government to share all the information and the activities ao public official through a proper chanel that built trust with the masses to receive support for planning and implementation of policies CITATION Gor00 \l 1033 (Gordon, 2000). we will not let the missuse of first amendmentmany people. Also, we need to make sure that the television news timely provide the news

Also, people have lost their trust in social media and they encourage their own perceptions to deliver news through different platforms. One of the major cause is political biasness towards certain events. Due to which Public usage of news channels is reduced and social media accounts has increased CITATION Lee10 \l 1033 (Lee, 2010). However, mostly people refrain from sharing controvercial news looking into the cons of privatizing public information. It has also been reported that people are getting threaten for sharing certain information and speeking publickly about stigmas. The current policies will also focus on safeguarding people from dangers of sharing information and will be given right to express their opinions.

Cyber net crimes are increasing with the popularity of social media where the preservation of online data of individuals need to be preserved. Srickly actions on cyber net laws are needed to be taken against unauthorized access to networks, hacking, theft of information, and viruses. The world has started to react to cyber net crimes where intelligence organization and police departments are strickly acting upon such situations CITATION Das11 \l 1033 (Dashora, 2011). However, the department need to be pro active and precaution are needed to be taken as “ Prevention is better than cure”. Moreover, the public shall be educated with these laws and strict discipline shall be followed in case of violating the laws.

Media in today’s world provide a platform for offenders to commit identity theft. As globalization has many advantages, it has ngative consequences too. Globalization provide different platforms to people to explore new oppryunities, however, mostly people exceed the boundaries. Sitting at home and sharing information from every corner of the world withot any prove or evidence results in creating chaos among the general public CITATION Wal05 \l 1033 (Wall, 2005). Also, online fights does not stops easily, and leads to humiliation and torture. Such sort of cyber bulling has increased in school children as well which needs to be treated from grassroot levels. Motivational activities in schools needed to be developed to cater the needs of proper and beneficial use of social media platforms CITATION Ear10 \l 1033 (Early, 2010).

Conclusions

The governemet has responsibility to control the information being shared on social media, however, it should not pressurize media to be politically biased. Firstly, it is important for the people to enjoy the right of free media with out online harrasement and, secondly to built the trust of public towards the conventional news shared on media. The emerging public policies should focus on policies and programs where people are encouraged to be part of public policies and engaged in access of information regarding government activities. Also, the media need to make sure that confidential and controvertial information is dissiminated through proper chanel. The media is an institution where the people should be provided with informative opportunities, and get the masses involve in productive work rather being wasting their energy on fake news. The policies should include certain norms for the media to be followed in case of disclosing information and strict actions are needed to be taken against cyber crime.

Can Digital Libraries Replace Traditional Libraries?

ida (First M. Last)

School or Institution Name (University at Place or Town, State)

"When everything is available on the internet, what is the need of traditional library?" This is the most common question of the digital era. Advancements in technology have revolutionized almost everything, and the same is the case with libraries and the ways to obtain information and knowledge. Libraries are also facing some new challenges, demands and expectations. Libraries need to redesign their services to add value and to satisfy the need of library users and information seekers. In this digital age, no information seeker just rely on the printed material, and they do not want that either. To meet the demands of new service seekers of libraries, the traditional library can be shifted to digital libraries due to its proficient operations, and this requires a change in paradigm by which people access that information.

A traditional library consists of the printed material such as published books in hardcopy, published magazines, journals and physical reading material, assembled and managed on shelves. The user needs to go to a physical place to find access to those printed materials. On the other hand the digital library has all the information stored in the digital form as opposed to that of printed material and that information is accessed by the use of technology such as computer, mobile, laptop or another electronic device such as tablets etc. it is like a virtual organization which collect, manage and preserve a vast repository of information and offers the users a specialized access to that information. In such a library all the resources are in a digital form characterised by access points and are often free or fee-based.

The primary purpose of the digital library is not just to provide information and its access but to promote proficient delivery of data at economical rates to all the information seekers. In addition, it aims at enhancing and encouraging the co-operative efforts in research resource and communication networks. A digital library provides numerous functions to its users such as an easy and quick access to a vast repository of information despite the location of user, provide not only text access but also the multimedia access and advanced search and retrieval of information, navigation tools, link to other library sources and most importantly convenience of use.

The era of the digital age is all about access to everything in no time. Gone are the days when people sued to travel and move to get access to something, let it be the grocery or the book to read. The greatest favor technology has given to mankind is access to everything in hand by the use of electronic devices and modern technology. This is what exactly a digital library offers. There is no need to go to the physical location and can gain access to that just using an internet connection or electronic access. This is something which has replaced the traditional library with the digital one due to the easy access for the students, working people and those having no time to move to access one source of information ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a2pbh38kddg","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Bamgbade et al., 2015)","plainCitation":"(Bamgbade et al., 2015)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1309,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/NNU5TPUK"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/NNU5TPUK"],"itemData":{"id":1309,"type":"article-journal","title":"Comparative analysis and benefits of digital library over traditional library","container-title":"World Scientific News","page":"1-7","volume":"24","author":[{"family":"Bamgbade","given":"B. The digital library is preferred due to the easy access, convenience, cost efficiency and it is less energy consumption as well. As there is no need to go to the physical location, the cost efficiency and easy access allow a number of people to get access to information and enhance their knowledge. Speaking of academic assignments, they need extensive research and accurate information. The easy access to library allows all the students to search for their assignments from viable and reliable sources. Not all the online information is credible and hence access to library sources is a plus point for them. One example of this is Google Scholar which provided easy access to scholarly literature within no time and without any hassle. Studies reveal that the online library sources are as credible and reliable as the printed sources ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a263r7j2ath","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Chin, Kim, & Teck, 2008)","plainCitation":"(Chin, Kim, & Teck, 2008)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1308,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/QGKESJFZ"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/QGKESJFZ"],"itemData":{"id":1308,"type":"book","title":"WILL THE INTERNET REPLACE LIBRARIES?–AN EXPLORATORY STUDY ON UNIVERSITY BUSINESS STUDENTS’PERCEPTIONS IN THE ELECTRONIC ENVIRONMENT","publisher":"Library & Information Science Unit, Faculty of Computer Science …","ISBN":"983-43491-0-6","author":[{"family":"Chin","given":"Kian Low"},{"family":"Kim","given":"Hong Yeoh"},{"family":"Teck","given":"Chai Lau"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2008"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Chin, Kim, & Teck, 2008).

The era of digital age means that majority of the population is connected to the internet which makes it possible to create a single repository of data which most of the people can access any time, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. This is the additional benefit for which the modem user go for the digital source is 24/7 availability. In addition, there is nothing different for a user in terms of cost. The user has to pay for both a traditional library and a digital library. There is a huge chance that the digital library is less costly as compared to the traditional one. When the user evaluates the cost-benefit analysis, the digital one outweighs for most of them in this case. One more thing, the same source can be accessed by a number of users at the same time while this is not possible in a library having physical sources. One source can be utilized by one user unless it has a number of copies available.

A digital library offers a highly structured approach which is easy to manage not only for the service provider but also for the user. For a reader, it is very easy to move between catalogues and one chapter to another without any hassle. For the library service provider, there is a need to manage the digital record of all the physical books in an online database. Otherwise, the large stock of books and physical sources gets hard to manage. This implies that a traditional library is also dependent on technology and the internet for its effective and efficient management. Besides, the library has the limited capacity to store and provide the printed material to its users, on the other hand, while a digital library has a larger database in which almost everything can be stored ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a1sqhb1bvio","properties":{"formattedCitation":"{\\rtf (\\uc0\\u8220{}Chapter 2: Digital vs. Traditional Libraries,\\uc0\\u8221{} n.d.)}","plainCitation":"(“Chapter 2: Digital vs. Traditional Libraries,” n.d.)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1310,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/4CTMEVK7"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/4CTMEVK7"],"itemData":{"id":1310,"type":"webpage","title":"Chapter 2: Digital vs. Traditional Libraries","URL":"http://www.wtec.org/loyola/digilibs/02_03.htm","accessed":{"date-parts":[["2019",3,10]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} ("Chapter 2: Digital vs Traditional Libraries," n.d.). With the years passing, more and more articles, magazines, newspapers are published which are harder to manage and record in physical cupboards and shelves and eventually a digital space would be required to store all of them.

The disagreement for a digital library is that it lacks the traditional reading environment and it depends on the internet and technology. With the absence of that, there is no access. However, the evolving technology has offer a number of alternatives and solutions, internet connection is becoming faster and is also accessible from the remote areas. Technology is getting better day by day, and hence the resources linked with it will also improve from time to time. There is also an argument that it becomes harder to obtain required information from huge database, but the modern technology allows the user to use the keywords and makes it easier than a traditional library which is based on codes, ISBN numbers etc. to obtain a specific source.

In a nutshell, looking at the benefits and alternatives that a digital library provides as compared to the traditional one, it is easy to anticipate that one day the digital library will surpass traditional library. It is not only cost efficient for the user, but the library service provider government and is eco-friendly as well. Students who make most of the use of library sources highly prefer the digital sources in this age of internet and technology. It is a much better option than the traditional library where paper-based resources are facing out in every fare of human life. The modern age is the era of technology, and hence government and policymakers must invest in Internet Architecture Infrastructures to support the use of the digital library.

Poverty

Social problems have long existed among mankind but an adequate definition has never been coined. Our social problems have different aspects, causes, consequences, and rationales. The process of defining social problems is complex due to social diversity, globalization, and media coverage. Several micro and macro paradigms and theoretical frameworks are used by sociologists to address certain issues in our society. The subjective definition of social problems is that a condition can be recognized as a social problem if it is problematic and hurts people within a society. But then the question arises that how many people are being affected and how adverse are the consequences. Some issues are culturally embedded in society, others are geographical, political, economic and psychological. After the identification of social problems and defining them in a certain context, the next approach of sociologists is to address the attitudes of people in creating and resolving social problems. Social problems are widespread and changeable over certain periods and change in the societal attitude.

Social problems are common to almost all societies and their origination is the same. Among all the social problems, the one that strikes hard at the core of a society's setup is poverty and how with time, it has become a grave concern globally. The problem of social inequality and poverty is mainly the latent result of efforts made to deal with other social conditions. The idea of independent growth and that people should be responsible for themselves within a society led to limited governmental involvement in social matters. People became the sole bearers of their income, housing, and other significant aspects of their lives. This led to unemployment, an increase in the homeless community and lower living standards. Though the cause of these problems may not be social, they do have social consequences. Many factors shape a social problem such as history, social and cultural values. The definition of a social problem within a society is defined by its values. These values constitute the elements of a nonmaterial culture of a society that indicate certain standards by which right, wrong, good and bad are determined ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"bgjuwts7","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Kendall, 2019)","plainCitation":"(Kendall, 2019)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":202,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/XVYYJMFF"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/XVYYJMFF"],"itemData":{"id":202,"type":"book","title":"Social Problems In a Diverse Society","publisher":"Pearson","edition":"7th","author":[{"family":"Kendall","given":"Diana"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2019"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Kendall, 2019).

Poverty can generally be defined as lack of basic human needs; food, clean water, healthcare, shelter and education due to lack of enough financial means to afford them. Poverty has several dimensions and it is a dynamic process that changes from time to time and place to place. Poverty can be classified into types based on social structure. Relative poverty can be defined as a situation in which people have relatively lesser resources or ways of income as compared to other people within the same society or in contrast to global averages. While absolute poverty is described as having few or no resources. It rips away everything from an individual including their pride and dignity. Poverty is a grave social problem as it decreases economic growth as a result of the lower production rate. As the world is moving towards globalization, economic freedom for a lot of people has been limited. The stable and constant development of societies has been constrained due to several intermixed social problems like unemployment, corruption, lack of education, terrorism, war, political and economic instability ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"BSYfHJqU","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Kornblum, Julian, & Smith, 2012)","plainCitation":"(Kornblum, Julian, & Smith, 2012)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":200,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/D78KBXZC"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/D78KBXZC"],"itemData":{"id":200,"type":"book","title":"Social problems","publisher":"Pearson","ISBN":"0-205-23033-4","author":[{"family":"Kornblum","given":"William"},{"family":"Julian","given":"Joseph"},{"family":"Smith","given":"Carolyn D."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2012"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Kornblum, Julian, & Smith, 2012). It is one of the very obvious reasons why certain people are debarred from the social, economic and political structures of society.

Social problems arise within a society due to a series of issues that have been accumulating in the society and went unnoticed. Similarly, poverty is born by several social evils. It is usually fabricated by a distinction among normal and poor people. Any social problem has two essential elements; objective condition and subjective concerns. The realist perspective takes on the objective conditioning of poverty and offers to give a sound explanation of the issue. It describes the progression of poverty in society without any bias. On the other hand, the constructive perspective of poverty relies on the subjectivity of the matter. It is based on judgments and bias, influenced by personal feelings instead of external facts. It labels certain people at a time and place as being in a state of poverty ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"2ZU5C0SG","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Macionis, 2015)","plainCitation":"(Macionis, 2015)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":199,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/U8AUVZZK"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/U8AUVZZK"],"itemData":{"id":199,"type":"article-journal","title":"Social Problems, Books a la Carte Edition Plus","container-title":"Pearson","volume":"Plus","author":[{"family":"Macionis","given":"John J."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2015"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Macionis, 2015).

Many global organizations and workforce sectors are trying to adopt some theoretical approaches to reduce poverty. The well-adapted and efficient pathways for escaping from poverty are termed as growth from below and growth from above. Majority of the people get benefit from the growth from below approach. It encourages small investments by families within any micro-business, small scale agriculture, non-form rural economy, and informal urban sector. While growth from above helps fewer people to escape from poverty by large scale and formal investments like in labor-intensive production sector. It provides employment opportunities to the poor and immigrants. Most of the governments support growth from the above strategy but a few governments and their strategic economic partners help promote the use of growth from below formula ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"8mcYpFDt","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Shepherd & Diwakar, 2019)","plainCitation":"(Shepherd & Diwakar, 2019)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":196,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/EJ4V4KVH"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/OnfrXiA2/items/EJ4V4KVH"],"itemData":{"id":196,"type":"article-journal","title":"Pathways to sustained poverty reduction","URL":"odi.org.uk","journalAbbreviation":"ODI","author":[{"family":"Shepherd","given":"Andrew"},{"family":"Diwakar","given":"Vidya"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2019"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Shepherd & Diwakar, 2019). For the sustained escape from poverty, policymakers must start taking social and economic measures that assist both types of strategies.

Social imagination is a tool for critical thinking that helps one relate personal life issues with societal issues. By comparing the lifestyle of oneself with that of individuals in society, the situation of a particular problem can be identified. We can think beyond the boundaries of subjectivity in assessing the scope of an issue and look deeply into the bigger picture. It changes the perspective and let us evaluate the condition objectively with facts and societal or cultural history. Social imagination should be a balance between both approaches for assessing the problem and finding theoretical solutions. Solving the issue of poverty should be looked into on priority basis as it has already caused enough social disparity and economic instability regionally and globally. It is of utmost concern that governments and other organizations collaborate and work on alleviating poverty issues from the society as it is associated with several other social problems.

Power in marriage -Marriage and family research paper

Introduction

To what extent power in marriage could be attained through marital satisfaction?

The above research question inquires the mental state of individuals reflecting the costs andbeneifts, i.e. marital satisfaction. When individual perceive more benefits to marriage the more, he would be satisfied with his partner and the marriage. On every aspect of human life, there is a greater influence on marriage and divorce like emotional and physical health of individuals. Relationships at some point may reach a stage where the struggle for power may emerge. This power struggle occurs in the family and romantic relationship. To keep the smooth functioning of the relationship balance of power is important because it makes healthy relationships. Marriage is known as the original contract between couples and creating a permanent union for the rest of their lives. The most basic unit of the society is family which is possible through marriage, and it defines their roles in society as well. For actual functioning of the satisfactory family, relationship are directly related to effective parenting because it improves the contact with each other and with their children. Relationship last longer when couples maintain a balance of power and don’t rise above one another. The human relationships are more about love, friendship, care and intimacy rather than the love of power. Not to increase conflicts in family and marriage couples need to maintain a balance of power.

Discussion

A study on exploring relationships between health, well being and marital satisfaction of individuals (Margelisch, Schneewind, Violette & Perrig 2017). The study analyzed the data of long term married couples by considering their marital satisfaction and comparing it with health and well being of these individuals. By identified two groups one unhappily married and one happily married. The happily married group showed greater health outcomes as compared to unhappily married. Variance in the health outcome is due to the psychobiological resilience and marital strain while long term marital satisfaction is closely associated with better health outcomes. Marital changes cause the most stressful events and have a negative impact on the well being of individuals.

Conflicts in marriage which arises due to marital dissatisfactions effects development and growth of children because if couples don't have marital satisfaction, it will increase social adaptability and self-esteem (Nourani, Seraj, Shakeri, & Mokhber, 2019). Individuals with greater adaptability have less psychological problems and are physically happier and healthier. Several factors affect marital satisfaction such as conflict resolution, personality traits, family income, wife's education, and infertility. According to the study, gender ideology is more associated with unfairness when it comes to appreciation from the partner for household work. onallly, the partner, feels that the household work Is fair when partner cares for her and appreciate her work. These factors are closely related to marital satisfaction. Counseling after marriages helps couples resolve conflicts further after the wedding and be able to understand each other better. The power factors arise when an individual doesn't support and respect each different opinion or work and causes instability in marriage. The balance of power works for the couples to resolve conflicts and make longer commitments in marriages.

For American millennial the incentive and disincentives have changed when they make marriageability decisions. The phenomenon has changed the gap between rich and poor in new profound ways known as the income inequality gap (Akers & Kohm, 2018). There is a variety of economic incentive which is driving intimate relationships in today's world, and family instability arises due to the income inequality gap. The more secure connection requires lower income gap between the couples and makes a stable environment for maintaining the stability of the family. Marriage according to the author seems an economic market which is affected by supply, demand, and preferences of individuals. Individuals prefer education, employment, and financial security because it further makes them able to take decisions for marriage. There are legal and economic aspects which affect the stability of marriage and considering them important would also decrease the income inequality gap. Since child rearing, child-bearing, and family strength are dependent upon the marital commitment, it has proffered that the solution to incentivize marriage for millennials may be increasing an understanding of the connection between human capital in children and prestige. Linking status to human capital in children provides individual self-esteem towards marriage and strengthens the organization of family. value good parenting because it has significant benefit and provides greater outcomes in society and also considering incentives while taking decisions regarding marriage. These policy decisions make them able to further take good care of their children and also decreases the marriage income inequality gap.

According to a study, the presence of children after marriage is essential for maintaining the stability of marriage and these children are considered significant investment which creates interdependence between wife and husband (Xu, Yu, & Qiu, 2015). Couples having more children have lower risks of divorce and keeps marital satisfaction. Based on the data from Panel of Chinese Family of the year 2010 was analyzed to study the relationship between divorce rate and variable related to the presence of children. These variables were having significant effects on the divorce rate in China. The first variable was associated with the stability of marriage by having more children which showed that there is greater stability when the couples have more children but also the marginal effect is declined as well. The second variable analyzed that the couples having younger children have lower risks of divorce as compared to the older ones. This study has resulted in the facts that children play an essential role in stabilizing marriage and resolving conflicts. These conflicts arise from infertility rate and cause changes in the values of friendship. Marital stability is maintained when couples have children and also decrease divorce rates.

The lack of intimacy in relationships or marriage is a primary concern for the experts of counseling and psychology (Kardan, Hamzeh, Asad, Mohammad & Khani, 2016). These intimacy issues have increased the divorce rates and required interventions, and counseling help couples take effective decisions when it comes to intimacy. There are strong associations between and quality of marriage. Psychological needs are fulfilled and provide marital communication which further has a positive influence on the mental health of couples. Increasing happiness resolve mental health issues, well being and reducing the risks of depression. Lack of intimacy causes mental disorders and depression. Familiarity is to exchange personal and private thoughts, and deep feelings and communication play an essential role because it promotes affection between couples. Handling effective, transparent and correct communication is a way to express needs, desires, and feelings. Trainings and counseling related to sex education can improve couples knowledge and helps them further enhance their intimacy. Lack of it makes the sexless life after marriages and makes it difficult for it to last longer. Intimacy is essential to sustain a marriage and create a physical and emotional bond with each other.

Since the marriages have changed dramatically in united states from 1950, at some point in the lives of men and women, they marry, but there are chances of getting divorced have also increased. Some scholars have argued that the low-income communities the marriages have been declined (Lundberg & Pollak, 2015). People in those communities have no proper education which makes it difficult for them to get a standard level of living for his soulmate and his children. Female mostly take care of her children because her husband is unemployed and uneducated. These problems in low-income communities create a barrier for people to get married. Education is essential for making a relationship last longer because couples can better understand and support each other. Couples prefer investing in their children by putting them in a better school and make them able in the future to earn for themselves. Education enhances the development of the children which most of the illiterate people also consider for their children. Most people get married to be able to make a mutual investment in their children regarding education which also makes a positive impact on their marriage. This impact would make the relationship lasts longer and further increase unity and integration within society.

Conclusion

Partners should be able to agree with aspects of one another to further enhance the marital satisfaction. Marital satisfaction is essential for mental and physical health and also for the development of their children. For the contemporary development of nations, unity and integration are crucial factors in society and marriages. Because marriage is not just a holy act. Education should be provided to couples on individual rights and for building spirit of national unity, peace development and integration. It is is possible due to the power of marriage and its ability to disseminate love, peace, affection, mercy, unity, wealth and children among individuals of society. There are spiritual, sexual, communication and age factors involved which affect marital satisfaction. Human life has different stages and marriage is also a critical stage because at that stage individuals decide to fulfill their psychological and physical needs. Income inequality is also the factor affecting the marital satisfaction. To keep the relationships healthy, the couples need to communicate, understand and support each other to make their marriages or connection lasts longer.

Power, Politics and Government

Big Sky, Big Money presents to its viewers the vandalism that had been playing a role in the electioneering of the Montana elections. The journalist Kai Ryssdal has been presented as a patient, who guides the Supreme Court of the United States, that how the political action committees had been the parts and parcels in the electioneering of the Montana elections. He shows how the political action committee had also been the part in intensifying the battle of the most important election contest between the Jon Tester, the Democrat and Denny Rehberg the Republican. After the completion of hearing in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court announced in his judgement in the famous Citizens United case that the government is not allowed to limit the political spending by corporations and Unions ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"98vd1pDt","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(McConnell)","plainCitation":"(McConnell)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":2,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/pCT5fGyt/items/K5HWFBP4"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/pCT5fGyt/items/K5HWFBP4"],"itemData":{"id":2,"type":"article-journal","title":"Reconsidering Citizens United as a Press Clause Case","container-title":"Yale LJ","page":"412","volume":"123","source":"Google Scholar","author":[{"family":"McConnell","given":"Michael W."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2013"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (McConnell). Some believe that this decision had paved the way for the free and unlimited spending from different unions and organizations into the American political activities, which in one way or another undermines the transparency mechanism which is in place in the US.

Since a “Say” in the election process in any way brings much authority for anyone. Also, the grasp on power is assured by becoming the part of the World’s strongest Congress, therefore each US national wants to become the part of it. Considering the Citizens United decision, one thinks that if such is the weak ladders to the Congress of the United States, one must then work in a soberer way to earn the respect, and not the timely Congressman ship. The oldest democracy of the world, where we live cannot retain such loopholes in it. As these are malpractices, they can, therefore, be part of such a transparent democracy. As the people in the United States are now more actively the part of the political processes- they will pull out such chances of electioneering in the future.

Sociology Questions

Question 1

There are many thing that the sociologist would like to have an insight about when it comes to the analysis of this image. The first thing of extreme importance is that who are these people and what area they belong to, either they might be refugees who are facing some sort of problem in their camp and in the mood to retaliate and some sort of force is being used by the state to make sure that these people do not move forward. Or there might be a case that they are facing a hostile situation, and the law enforcement official or the army personnel in the front might be trying to rescue them which in case is something that is quite and important change in the situation and is bound to change the whole context of the situation at that point of time. This would set to establish the fact that whether any act of aggression is carried out against these people or they are the one that are facing any situation. Now, the other important factor that the sociologist would be interested in looking is that what are the demographics of the people who are showed in this picture. The sociologist theories might not really help in this regard due to the fact that the picture is not depicting the plight of these people in an appropriate manner and effort is needed to be made to interpret the image in the more detailed manner and that cannot be done without prior knowledge and background of what is going to be happening during the course of the picture and what makes the people in the frame react in this manner.

Question 2

There are many underlying differences that exist when one talks about how the functionalist analysis is carried out for the crisis in border and the way it is bound to differ from some of the other types of the conflict analysis. One of the key differences is that when one talks about the crisis of the analysis of the things that in the border, one of the biggest issues that is kept in mind is that how the crisis at the border is supposed to be resolved at the given point of time. Not only that, the way conflict analysis is needed to be resolved is another imperfect factor as the interest rationale of the broader groups involved must be kept in mind. When the analysis of the crisis situation is being carried out, there is not much though and consideration given to the humanitarian aspect and the broader interest of the people that are involved in the decision making are the only thing that is needed to be kept in mind. On the other hand, if one compares this situation to the crisis at the border, then the assessment can be made that how at times, the main concern is to make sure that how the human causalities and tragedy can be stopped. Not only that, the other major aspect that must be kept in mind is that how the nature of the United States border crisis is needed to be kept in mind. Thus there are many elements that make both of them different from each other.

Question 3

Interactionist analysis is an important aspect of how the theoretical analysis and the situational analysis is carried out. Specially when one talks about how the social processes are supposed to be defined, for instance, how the conflict and the cooperation among people is needed to be witnessed as well as some of the other elements are needed to be incorporated, i9t has to be noted that how the actions of the individuals at the different point of time are bound to shape the society and how the underlying interactions that are carried out by the people are bound to give shape to the society at the particular point of time. This is the interaction among the people that goes a long way towards making sure that how people interact with one another at the given point of time and how the interactions among them are supposed to be witnessed at the given point of time. Now, one of the reasons that the border analysis at times becomes so complex is due to the fact that how the challenges of the information age are witnessed at the given point of time and how the perspective of the people and their own motivations are needed to be understood when that assessment is being made. The idea is that as long as the motivations and the driving force behind the understanding of the people is not given enough importance, it cannot be assumed that the decision making would be made in an appropriate moment at the particular point of time. Only when the individual motivations are understood, the context can be given to the border policy.

Question 4

One of the ways to make sure that better understanding is developed about the United States border crisis is to make sure that some sort of sense is being made about the whole situation from the sociological perspective, without making an effort to understanding the sociological perspective, it cannot be made sure that the enough information can be developed about how different stakeholders are acting in such a manner and why some of the broader implications are needed to be kept in mind when the final decision is being made. Despite the fact that many economic rationale is given for the crisis, it is not an economic issue due to the fact that if one looks at some of the data and statistics in this regard, it can be seen that not much value is gained by the Mexico citizens if they are trying to cross the border. The major problem is that what is the human crisis that is being faced among the border. Effort is needed to be made that the sociological perspective of the whole thing is going to be looked at. Without making an effort with regards to making sure that some sort of perspective is developed when it comes to the management of the whole crisis, the effort is needed to be made that the understanding must be developed with regards to how the functional and interactionalist analysis shows that it is the problem between individuals and the conflict of self interest that is creating this crisis rather than the economic motivations of the people.

Question 4

In this day and age, the information overload is one of the biggest issues that is faced by the people is one of the biggest issues. People need to develop a sense of perspective with regards to how this issue is going to be understood and how people can make sure that they make the best use of the information that is available at their disposal. But in order for that to happen, the first thing that people must keep in mind, is that how most of the times, it is the individual motivations and the inference of the people that prompts them and motivate them to search information about a given instance at the particular point of time. The important thing for the people at times is to get away from this bias to select only the information that is as per their liking and make an effort about digging out and looking at the complete picture. To make sure that they are able to do that, people must be in the position to make sure that they are effectively looking at some of the challenges that are being faced at the given point of time and how it is going to make sure that the effective border policy is going to be managed in terms of how these challenges are going to be faced at the given point of time. The sociological perspective would ask these people to make sure that they are not invested into this whole notion and genuinely make an effort to ensure that the clear perspective is being developed in this regard at the given point of time. The present world is suffering from many problems that can be solved through scientific study of the society. It is the task of sociology to study the social problems through the methods of scientific research and to find out solution to them. The scientific study of human affairs will ultimately provide the body of knowledge and principles that will enable us to control the conditions of social life and improve them.

Question 6

There are many people around the world who are not having a home, the number has grown so large that it is bigger than the population of some of the biggest nations in the world and one of the reasons that the number keeps increasing is due to the fact that some of the issues and the problems that have made them change their home have not been resolved and there is no likelihood in the future that these issues are going to be sorted. Now, United States has an important role in more or less all the conflicts that are going on these days. For instance, its support of the Israel regime and the lack of acceptance of the simple solution that how two separate nations are going to be resolving this issue is one of the key facts that is needed to be kept in mind when the decision is being made. At the same time, when one looks at the conflicts in Iran, Afghanistan and Syria, America has been directly involved with their forces in these regions and due to the presence of the forces in these regions, it can be said that the solution is far from close to be resolved. Not only that, United States is one of the few nations in the world that has the resources at their disposal to ensure that they resolve this issue but the lack of interest on their part is not allowing them to go beyond from it. The conflict theory would show that how at times that the national interest was not in the heart of these conflicts and instead it turned into the battle of supremacy at the broader level. We can hardly know the people of other areas intimately. In order to have insight into and appreciation of the motives by which others live and the conditions under which they exist knowledge of sociology is essential.

Question 7

One of the key thing that the media has done these days is that it has showed the information the way it and the information overload that is witnessed by the people these days is one of the biggest issues that people would need to have in this day and age. Due to the exposing nature of the media, some of the issues and problems that had always been lingering in the background are brought into the forefront and at times one gets an impression is that how the role of the sociological imagination is something that is needed to be further reflected upon to have greater sense of purpose in terms of the way decline of the moral values. The media is only bringing into the limelight some of the issues and problems that were always there. It is the shock of the people that for how long these things have been going on and how little information was accumulated regarding this one that comes across as one of the biggest issues looking closely at these problems at the moment. Looking closely at the sociological perspective of the whole thing, it can be said that how the lack of perspective is an issue here. People were not aware about the supposed moral decline and due to the open and exposing nature of the media, these things are now brought into the limelight. Thus there is a need to make sure that some clarity is developed in this regard and attributing media for everything wrong in the society is wrong.

Question 8

It has been well documented that what are some of the major issues that American people have when it comes to the face of their sexuality and how at times they have a hard time when it comes to making sure that they develop the right attitude when it comes to defining and interpreting sexuality. The same thing can be said about the American food culture as well. The fixation with the fast food culture and the lack of time that Americans give to their food means that they are quite left behind when it comes to the broader decision making at a certain level. Due to the lack of time and thought they put in their food, Americans have developed a casual attitude when it comes to their food and it is one of the prime reasons that they have a hard time when it comes to accepting the food norms and the culture of other people. Not only that, the other thing is that any other food item that does not go as per the sensitivity of the Americans, they have the tendency to ignore it call it as risqué. They have also developed aversion to the food culture and habits of some of the other countries which might have head towards more healthy society. Instead there is fixation with the soft drinks and binge eating and what it means is that there is a culture that people would like to eat more but the quality of the food that they are having is far from ideal. Society is a complex phenomenon with a multitude of intricacies. It is impossible to understand and solve its numerous problems without support of sociology. It is rightly said that we cannot understand and mend society without any knowledge of its mechanism and construction. Without the investigation carried out by sociology no real effective social planning would be possible. It helps us to determine the most efficient means for reaching the goals agreed upon. A certain amount of knowledge about society is necessary before any social policies can be carried out.

Question 9

One of the major challenges that is going to be faced by the coming generation is that how they are going to bring about the balance in terms of how they are going to be relying on technology, and how much human intuition is going to be taking place. At the moment, there is enough focus carried out on the Artificial Intelligence that goes to show that in future, most of the tasks that humans are performing at great difficulty would be carried out by the machines. What it means is for the human civilization is that there is going to be too much reliance on the computers, robots and technology with regards to how different things are going to be used at the given point of time. The situation would reach to the cathedral that it people would be hard pressed to use their own decision making and logic to reach towards a decision. Already it is happening when it comes to the way information overload is being handled with regards to the way architectural decisions are being taken. What it has done is that it might have helped with the creation of the designs that are robust and without much error, it has taken away the human element of the beauty and creativity of the architecture and does not allow much artistic freedom in terms of how people are supposed to express themselves.

Question 10

In this day and age, it is very easy to get caught in the things that are not important due to the information overload. At the same time, the other major issue is that people do not have sense of perspective. What this course has allowed me is to develop an analytical approach towards things. What it means is that after I have attended this course, it has allowed me to have greater sense of perspective with regards to how different sociological phenomenon’s are related, and how each of the thing that is happening in our lives can be interpreted and explained with the help of the sociological perspective and theories. Not only that, it has showed me that how at times the interest level of the different stakeholders that might contribute to the global power and all it is going is little bit of sense and perspective to have additional insight about some of the problems that are faced by the people. What it means is that the people should be in the position and capacity to make sure that they realize how important it is for them to ensure that they understand things at the broader level and ensure that if there are problems in hand, then they can be resolved in an appropriate manner in only way if an analytical approach towards thing is developed at the given point of time. The sociological perspective becomes all the more important in a sense that how all those things are needed to be understood at the given point of time. So all these things can be understood in a much better manner if the sociological perspective is applied and this perhaps is the greatest learning that I have during the course of this module. When talking about the importance of the sociology ,well the subject is of great importance .The subject studies the development , structure and functioning of human society ,scientifically . Therfore when the subject came into being for the first time in 1938 , it was like a remedy to the malaise of the French revolution (1789). Whenever the society was to be mended sociology turned up to be of great help . Today in modern sociology ,the subject matters are of varied types centering on humans , it's society and their interconnection. Wide variety of social institutions such as family and kinship ,religion and property ,Educational and legal aspects ,aesthetic and expressive institutions are studied here. Fundamental processes such as cooperation , competition , accomodation ,assimilation etc are also studied .

Privacy

Privacy, a word that imparts such comfort that despite all the destructions around, one can feel safe. Technology is one of the major reason for zero privacy. In the present time, some of the gadget aliens have incorporated a mentality affirming that digital world is a better tool to stay safe and private such as "face identifications," digitals locks," and tracking, etc. If someone is not active in the digital world, he/she is not living a practical and privacy incorporated life. (Adorjan, et, al. 2019).  On the other side, the black screens of digital world shout that there is no privacy today. Now and then, every political announcement such as, “lawsuit settlement admonished facebook for reading messages" is enough to open an insight to the facts of zero privacy. Today’s society is too obsessed with advancements that social media apps know where one is? What one likes and how is one doing? It has brought humans at a verge of cyber destruction.

The implication of school of thought, “secrets are lies, sharing is caring and privacy is theft” has also paved the way for zero privacy where everyone is busy justifying itself as an honest identity. (Adorjan, et, al. 2019). The stance of “social animal” has also added into the fire of zero privacy. Change of perspective is more dangerous than technology because technology is a slave in the hands of users. Today, the stance of being “perfect” has brought everyone at an edge where what matters is being perfect for surrounding, and it has enabled generations to be extra social where the limits of social contact are left behind in the walk of life. In the sphere of "Being fit," man has lost the importance of privacy because trends are followed blindly. It would not be wrong to say that technological advancement is left behind when the devastation of perspective is considered.

Education in The United States: An Analysis of Debt Problem

Education is a métier that is laden with a myriad of problems and social intricacies, and the associated notion of tuition fees is increasing in an exacerbated manner throughout the United States. The phenomenon, in turn, has elevated the education-related problems specifically of millennial faction. The accelerated inflation has adversely affected the fee patterns of both public and private colleges and universities. Though the public sector offers relatively lower rates, but yet it is not a piece of cake for more economical and middle-class families to support their youngsters in obtaining higher education. Moreover, the decline in student funds, scholarship, and educational grants worsening the financing position of students, and it becomes impossible for them to complete education without getting overloaded with debt (Kendall, 2019).

According to CBS News (2019), the federal student loan has crossed the limit of 1.5 trillion dollars that is expected to be paid by 43 million borrower students. In due course, most of the millennials have ceased their dream jobs, and some of them are doing even multiple jobs at the same time but found the salaries insufficient to pay the educational debt. The menace of rapidly augmenting fees and lack of institutional financial support is robbing the youngsters’ chance to live their dream lives; instead, they are just laboring and menial works to earn a few extra dollars. The fee structure is utterly higher in Ohio state as compared to other states of America. The government should take some corrective measures in this regard; otherwise, the unfairly surged college and university fee will only destroy the future talent-inventory and will generate mediocre scholars who evade any creativity or developing endeavors and will live for paying their bills.

Project Title

The Use of impact of Opioids to household and economy of the United States

Project Objectives

The objective of the project is to investigate the level of usage and impact of Opioids in the United States.

It is also to establish the scientific truth about the abuse of Opioids since studies have indicated that majority of young and teenagers in the United States abused drugs.

The study is also intends to establish a systematic method, which can be used to address the menace of Opioids in the country.

Project background

In early 1990s, the pharmaceutical industry made a promise to the medical community that patients would not be addicted to the Opioids, which is a pain reliever. And therefore, the medical practitioners started to prescribe Opioids related pain reliever to patients. This resulted to the widespread of abuse of the highly abused drug. However, the Opioids overdose abused became serious in the early 2000s. Research indicates that in 2017, the Opioids related drugs have caused the death of over 47000 Americans and the number of casualties continues to increase annually CITATION McQ09 \p 54 \l 1033 (McQuay, 2009, p. 54).

Project description

The project intends to investigate the uses of Opioids. A study by McQuay (2009, p. 21), illustrates that majority of adults abused drugs. And many of these adults are aged between 45 – 65 years. The study shows that many adults abused Opioids compared to young adults. This could because several adults are accessed could affordable to purchase high abused prescribed drugs. Over the last decades, a study medical practitioner indicates that millions of people die as result of drug abuse. This could be either by using medically prescribed Opioids or illegal Opioids such as heroin and cocaine.

Opioids are one of the widely abused medically prescribed drugs in the United States. Survey indicated that approximately 20% and 15% of adults and teenagers respectively over used Opioids. The drug misuse negatively affects the United State. A study has indicated that estimated 130 people die monthly as a result of drug overdose. Therefore, the best solution is to address the problem of Opioids amicably. Studies have also established that the abuse of drugs result from psychological issues and therefore, this study intends to establish the level of the usage of Opioids. According to federal bureau of investigation, Opioids include illegal drugs such as heroin, cocaine and others. It is therefore, important to investigate the accessibility of drugs and measures, which can be taken to reduce the level of drug abuse among teenagers.

The problem of drug abused deep rooted and it has caused death of several people in the worldwide. In the United States, the issue of Opioids causes high public outcry. It has become public health issues and therefore, addressing it requires a collaboration of various departments of both state and federal government. According to National institute on Drug Abuse, many people using Opioids use them for the purpose of releasing pain. However, this does not solve pain but it adds problem to an individual user.

In this qualitative method, about 250 people to be used to complete the study. First, participants to be grouped based on age, gender and years of drug abuse. The questionnaires then will be given to each participant whereby they would be required to fill in the form and then submit for analysis. This shall be done through an online platform whereby questionnaires sent to the participants answer within a specific time and then forward back for analysis. It is also important to point that interviews will also be integrated to provide deep understanding of issues related to Opioids.

Result

The data was analyzed and then result provided based on the method used. The result will be directly illustrated to show the impact of Opioids to the society. Based on the result the Opioids are used by majority of people and therefore, it is one of the dangerous drugs public health is solving. It is also obtained 15% of young adults aged between 21 to 35 years abused the use of Opioids and therefore, it has become a major issues. The result of the study focuses on the impact on Opioids users and public health officers. It also interrogates methods, which can be applied to address the problem of drug abuse in the society.

It is also important to note that various solution such providing alternative drugs as a painkiller to be provided.

Analysis of the problem
