Middle adulthood is the period of lifespan between young adulthood and old age. The period of middle adulthood ranges from about 20 to 40 years, but these numbers may change depending on many factors. The most common age that can be defined as the middle adulthood is from 40 to 65. In this developmental age, there is a likelihood that the client may face specific health issues. Typically the middle American adults are healthier but some health concerns that the middle adults may face include bronchitis, coronary heart disease, genitourinary disorders, arthritis, asthma, hypertension (high blood pressure), strokes, and mental disorders. AIDS has also become a progressively recurrent health issue in this age group.

Weight gain is another health issue from which most of the middle adults suffer. Weight gain and obesity are highly linked with a number of diseases. Yan Zheng and fellows identified the link of weight gain and obesity with significant health issues in middle adulthood ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a3m10te2s6","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Zheng et al., 2017)","plainCitation":"(Zheng et al., 2017)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1300,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/BJK9Q2EY"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/BJK9Q2EY"],"itemData":{"id":1300,"type":"article-journal","title":"Associations of weight gain from early to middle adulthood with major health outcomes later in life","container-title":"Jama","page":"255-269","volume":"318","issue":"3","author":[{"family":"Zheng","given":"Yan"},{"family":"Manson","given":"JoAnn E."},{"family":"Yuan","given":"Changzheng"},{"family":"Liang","given":"Matthew H."},{"family":"Grodstein","given":"Francine"},{"family":"Stampfer","given":"Meir J."},{"family":"Willett","given":"Walter C."},{"family":"Hu","given":"Frank B."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2017"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Zheng et al., 2017). During the study, Self-reported hypertension, cholelithiasis, severe hip osteoarthritis, type 2 diabetes, and cataract extraction were confirmed in subsamples with high validation rates. They identified that the middle adulthood is the age group connected with the succeeding development of type 2 diabetes, cholelithiasis, hypertension, severe osteoarthritis, cardiovascular disease and cataracts ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"RHxbA2lZ","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Zheng et al., 2017)","plainCitation":"(Zheng et al., 2017)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1300,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/BJK9Q2EY"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/BJK9Q2EY"],"itemData":{"id":1300,"type":"article-journal","title":"Associations of weight gain from early to middle adulthood with major health outcomes later in life","container-title":"Jama","page":"255-269","volume":"318","issue":"3","author":[{"family":"Zheng","given":"Yan"},{"family":"Manson","given":"JoAnn E."},{"family":"Yuan","given":"Changzheng"},{"family":"Liang","given":"Matthew H."},{"family":"Grodstein","given":"Francine"},{"family":"Stampfer","given":"Meir J."},{"family":"Willett","given":"Walter C."},{"family":"Hu","given":"Frank B."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2017"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Zheng et al., 2017).

Middle adulthood is also linked to stress, bone fragility, and depression. Stress and depression become the cause of many other diseases such as strokes and hypertension. Depression becomes the unavoidable factor due to the internal sense that one's resources to cope up with the demands will be diminished. Though this feeling exists in every age it is hard to skip this in middle adulthood. Different stressors which make contributions to the health issues can be the stressor to raise a family, pay mortgages and to learn the new emerging technologies. However, environmental and demographic factors also play a vital role in the occurrence of health issues in middle adulthood.

The demographic factors such as marital status, sex, educational status, income status, religion, occupation, family size profoundly impact the health in all the ages, especially in middle adulthood. According to a study, the way a person responds to the stressors such as adverse events trauma and strain produce the social inequalities in the physical and mental health. Different sociologists have identified that the stress burdens account considerably for the age, race, gender, marital status and socio-economic factors in physical and emotional well beings. The socio-economic status is linked with access to health-care facilities especially for minorities and less fortunate groups. Minorities also face discrimination stress; stressors also multiply over the life course and increases the health gaps between the privileged and disadvantaged group fellows ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a1o76e7d6ci","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Thoits, 2010)","plainCitation":"(Thoits, 2010)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1301,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/HLXTJD2E"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/HLXTJD2E"],"itemData":{"id":1301,"type":"article-journal","title":"Stress and health: Major findings and policy implications","container-title":"Journal of health and social behavior","page":"S41-S53","volume":"51","issue":"1_suppl","author":[{"family":"Thoits","given":"Peggy A."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2010"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Thoits, 2010).

The living arrangements and marital status also impact the health of an individual in middle adulthood. A study examines that living arrangements are highly linked with self-rated health. Middle-aged adults living with a partner or with the children are the most benefited when it comes to health. In the same way, single women living with her children are disadvantaged with regards to health. People living alone or other than the family or spouse face health issues. In addition this study also reveals that living in a particular arrangement which is more demanding than the resources, this increases the stress response and as a result, they face poor health consequences ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a19bvan3t18","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Hughes & Waite, 2002)","plainCitation":"(Hughes & Waite, 2002)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1303,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/H5RD6VZT"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/H5RD6VZT"],"itemData":{"id":1303,"type":"article-journal","title":"Health in household context: Living arrangements and health in late middle age","container-title":"Journal of health and social behavior","page":"1","volume":"43","issue":"1","author":[{"family":"Hughes","given":"Mary Elizabeth"},{"family":"Waite","given":"Linda J."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2002"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Hughes & Waite, 2002).

Apart from these factors, education level and occupation and religion also contribute to health issues. People are having less education and belonging from religious and ethnic minority sometimes fail to cope up with the old age challenges. They suffer from weight gain and obesity which is linked with a number of heart diseases and reduces the mortality rate. The impact of these factors varies with the gender and the age group of the person. Nonetheless, overall loneliness and isolation, inadequate income and low education result in the likelihood of poor health consequences.

The role of a social worker is to consider the demographic factors while providing treatment to the patients ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"ancuirn4gm","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Huskamp, 2013)","plainCitation":"(Huskamp, 2013)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1304,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/W7G9XLND"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/W7G9XLND"],"itemData":{"id":1304,"type":"article-journal","title":"Addressing physical health in social work practice","author":[{"family":"Huskamp","given":"Kristin K."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2013"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Huskamp, 2013). The physical health of the individuals must be incorporated into assessment, treatment and the complete course of therapy ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"iRfnq5ky","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Huskamp, 2013)","plainCitation":"(Huskamp, 2013)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1304,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/W7G9XLND"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/W7G9XLND"],"itemData":{"id":1304,"type":"article-journal","title":"Addressing physical health in social work practice","author":[{"family":"Huskamp","given":"Kristin K."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2013"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Huskamp, 2013). To reduce the causes and the factors which contribute to poor health, a social worker must make the patient aware of the problem-solving and stress coping skills. To overall improve the mood and energy level of the patients in their middle adulthood ages a social worker must provide them with the necessary education and put evidence-based practices in place. As the weight gain and obesity is associated with chronic diseases, the worker must provide the education of the dietary requirements and needs of a balanced diet to overcome the health issues.

The consideration of demographic factors is crucial in this regard. The patients having low socioeconomic status or belonging to the less fortune group must be provided equal health care and treatment to reduce the inequality which adversely affects their condition. In addition, the skill of social-problem solving can be taught to patients to reduce the impact of stress and poor mental health and increase the psychological wellbeing of the patients. Patient's family, spouse, children, and caretaker can also be involved regarding better dietary plans and coping up with stress and pressure however, dealing with family must include due care, attention and observation ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"a2qk7sfgfuk","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman, 2006)","plainCitation":"(Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman, 2006)"},"citationItems":[{"id":1306,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/AW2BDJBG"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/FGhKhGPG/items/AW2BDJBG"],"itemData":{"id":1306,"type":"book","title":"Understanding human behavior and the social environment","publisher":"Cengage Learning","ISBN":"0-495-00622-X","author":[{"family":"Zastrow","given":"Charles"},{"family":"Kirst-Ashman","given":"Karen"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2006"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman, 2006). Incorporating the demographic factors and reducing the unequal health care treatment can provide the patient support to thwart chronic health conditions.

Ethical Implications of Pursuing a Social Responsibility Program

Corporate social responsibility includes: the responsibility of the company for its own staff, such as health and safety at work, training and equality between men and women. As supply chains expand, it is also increasingly important to take account of indirect responsibilities, such as working conditions, human rights, freedom of association and the use of child labor and forced labor (Bredeson & Goree, 2012). for example. When reporting on social responsibility, we report on workplace practices, the realization of human rights, the impact of the company on the community, interaction with social actors and product liability. The type of business that the company conducts affects how things are reported. Personnel is an important asset in all companies, so reporting on HR management applies to all companies. In turn, reporting on supply chain responsibility applies to companies supplying goods. Social impact reporting, on the other hand, concerns more large companies.

The place of the army in the life of a modern state. Military ethics as a set of rules and customs, codified statutory rules for the relationship between officers and subordinates. Nurturing and educating cadres of the nation passing through the army.

Armed forces of the USA

The US Armed Forces are an integral element of statehood, a military organization that forms the basis of the country's defense. Military duty and military service of citizens. Counteraction to internal sources of military threats. The history of the army. The focus is on dealing with ethical principles. First in the presentation of an institutional and a functional ethics, then in the elaboration of important for the consideration of soldier values.

Modern warfare

Military doctrine of the USA on the sources of military danger. Features of armed struggle in modern conditions, types of weapons to combat the enemy. Definition of the basic principles of ensuring national security of the country. While social responsibility is a form of concern for an entity in the community and surrounding environment where it is located. The term environment encompasses consumers, suppliers , employees, creditors, the environment, the community, the community and so on. So corporate social responsibility is part of business ethics. (Elssner, Janke& Oesterle, 2016).

It is not easy to react against war or terrorism as a solider ,ethically a person can but not a solider. In carrying out its operations, army must also pay attention to ethics and social responsibility. The Army is founded in a social environment because it is not only seen in terms of profits but also in its actions and social concerns. Companies that do not have business ethics and social responsibility may be profitable in the short term but in the long run will harm the company itself. Therefore business ethics and corporate social responsibility are now an important issue in the US Army. As already mentioned, a company in making decisions for the benefit of its business must pay attention to ethics and social responsibility. (Gawlik-kobylińska, 2018).

In order to relativize the impression of a contradiction between the two terms military and ethics, some thoughts on the meaning, but also the need for a summary of a fixed concept follow. The specification of the general ethics in a subcategory pursues a specific purpose, as it can also be subordinated to the peace ethics. Nevertheless, the term of peace ethics is undisputed, as it seems to have broader support through its focus on peace. In contrast, military ethics, at first sight, is a manifestation of the ethical that leads its goal ad absurdum. However, there is a correlation between the two subcategories in that peace ethics, as part of applied ethics, can provide opportunities for preserving and maintaining peace.

On the other hand, military ethics on the one hand open up a perspective, in this case that of the military, and on the other hand, freedom can be created in which space is provided for the actions of an army and above all of its soldiers (Jacobs, 2014). To prevent a false interpretation of this claim directly, the restriction should be made that military ethics is not an objective legitimation of military action, but a subjective reflection, which is embedded in their own values and a corresponding perspective. Rather, military ethics can be seen as a multiplier of personal responsibility and decision-making ability, which presupposes the formation of moral ideas in the individual. It follows that the existence of a military ethics does not exclude the maturity and responsibility of the individual, but rather requires it.

Critical path. In the network diagram of the project, there are many paths that can be taken from the beginning of the project to the completion of the project. he critical path method is used to estimate the shortest project duration in the schedule model and determine the schedule flexibility of the logical network path. This schedule network analysis technology uses forward and backward push along the schedule network path without considering any resource constraints , and calculates the earliest start ES, earliest end EF, latest LS, and latest LF of all activities date.

The earliest and latest start and end dates obtained are not necessarily the project schedule , but only the established parameters (activity duration, logical relationship, lead, lag, and other known constraints) are entered into the schedule A result obtained after the model indicates that the activity can be implemented during this period.

Week 2: AACN Essentials Self-Assessment And Patient-Centered Care (graded) And Week 2: Communication And Influence-the Power Of Evidence (graded)

AACN Essentials Self-Assessment and Patient-Centered Care (graded)

[Name of the Writer]

[Name of the Institution]

AACN Essentials Self-Assessment and Patient-Centered Care (graded)

Discussion 1

1) The most important linkage between the AACN essentials and the patient centred care is that how the AACN allows all the stakeholders to make sure that the degree of innovation that is important when it comes to the patient cared decision making is being provided all the given time. It has to be noted that without bringing about greater degree of innovation and technology during the healthcare delivery process, it cannot be made sure that the delivery of the healthcare service can be carried out at in an appropriate manner. The other thing that has to be noted is that how the opportunities are always readily there to improve standards by bringing innovation.

2)The most important ethical and moral standard when it comes to the medical practice is to make sure that the transparency has to be taken care off during the provision of the medical care. The idea at the broader level is to make sure that transparency has to be there in terms of the way processes are supposed to work. With the help of better transparency and ethics, it can be made sure that the nursing could be more centred around the integrated patient care.

3) The academic integrity and the professional integrity are some of the key deliverables when one talks about the way provision of the healthcare services are needed to be provided. The key aspect of the whole thing is that there has to be embedded belief among the nurses that how they are going to bring about the technical expertise that they have learned during the course of their medical career and then eventually combining these things with the professional integrity so that the applied knowledge is witnessed at the broader spectrum at the given point of time.

Discussion 2

1)One of the most important aspect is that how it is being made sure that the patient centred treatment is being provided. What it means is that the way processes are being optimized and design at the workplace, the idea at the broader level is to make sure that how the professionals are going to be influenced by the whole process at the given point of time and what are some of the broader changes that can be brought at the given point of time to make sure that the delivery of the healthcare process could be carried out in an appropriate manner. One of the key aspects that stand out during the course of the whole process is that how it can be made sure that the patients, nurses and all the other stakeholders are being involved during the decision-making process to ensure greater level of service.

2)The communication as is the case with any organization that is in the service sector, is an important aspect when it comes to the way patient centric healthcare communication is going to be provided to the patients at the given point of time. The ideal thing that has to be taken care during the course of the whole process is that how the transparency is going to be maintained when it comes to the healthcare deliverables. The idea among the stakeholders is to make sure that whatever the communications and the processes that are carried out during the course of the healthcare delivery process, they are needed to be documented. The more clarity there is going to be in terms of the way healthcare delivery process is going to be carried out at the given point of time, the greater is the likelihood that the end result of the whole process is going turn out well.

Short Answer Paper

Answer 1

Verbal communication between superiors and their subordinates can help to enhance one's job satisfaction. In the section of Verbal Messages, Bevan argues that we can alter our verbal communication by delivering positive or prosocial messages to enhance the job satisfaction at our workplace, citing that it is this specific problem that is responsible for increased turnover in an organization. In the case of non-verbal communication, Bevan thinks that higher non-verbal intimacy guarantees job satisfaction while building work relations based on trustworthiness at the same time. This practice often builds a positive work environment as well, which is necessary for one's job satisfaction.

Answer 2

Rapport means that your interactions with someone are smooth and harmonious.

There are four principles when it comes to building rapport. First, convey confidence to your superiors so that they believe that you can excel at your job. Second, always be creative at the tasks that you are assigned, as well as in the conversations that you have with your colleagues. Third, show that you care about the people that you work with. And lastly, always be considerate with the people around you.

Exhibiting confidence is necessary at your workplace, as you may get sympathy with your colleagues and superiors but nobody in our organization will view you as an important player within the organization.

Answer 3

The intention of sharing private and personal aspects of oneself with other people is called self-disclosure.

Self-disclosure is necessary for building rapport with your colleagues as well as shaping your positive image within your workplace.

Self-disclosure can also lead to one getting rebuffed by the other person. It can also generate a feeling that you have revealed too much of yourself to the other person.

The main difference in practicing self-disclosure online is that one can keep one's identity anonymous and keep most of one's information private, while in face-to-face conversations, one does not have such liberty.

In this case study, the client (Jake) is constantly under stress with complaints of difficulty sleeping, moodiness and increase of heart palpitations. Most of the time, he remains under pressure. He is married but his family life is disturbed. His wife is also a working woman. The client thinks that he is not fulfilling the needs of his family that's why his wife is working. Client is alcoholic and it is the main reason for the fight between him and his wife. The client thinks that if he did not take help, he will lose his job, wife, and son. In this case study, the client wants to become normal but he is not able to do it himself. This can be related to the assumption theory which states that relation with the family plays a very important role in managing and overwhelming stress. The two assessment question which I will ask from the client to understand how the stress is affecting him are

What support is provided to you by your family to deal with the consistent stress?

What do you think is the main reason for your stress?

The client will be guided about different strategies that can help him to come out of the stress. As the main reason for the fight between the client and his wife is the drinking habit of the client. Therefore the client will be guided about the treatment of alcohol addiction in a safe and confidential environment. The client will be given a comprehensive recovery plan and will be given assurance that I will be with him till his recovery. The question that I will ask myself to gain greater empathy for what my client is experiencing is, ‘How useful he might think I will be in helping him to overcome his stress and come back to his normal healthy life? After a few sessions, I will assess my client’s progress by asking him questions regarding his relation with his family. If his relationship with his wife improves during this time, then the client has shown progress and counseling sessions will be continued and if not then some other intervention will be adopted.

Appeal to emotions (also: appeal to emotions ) is a logical mistake that is used to influence one's beliefs through influencing emotions. Usually accompanied by the use of manipulative words (for example: God , country, atheism , homosexuality, etc.). “The ancient Greek philosopher Plato, for example, associated emotion and other wishes to a beast that attempts to lead manhood in numerous diverse instructions at once”(Hardy, Foster & Zúñiga 2015). During the debate, the ruse as a rhetorical device often turns out to be effective in the eyes of the public, which reacts violently to the mention of big words, but it is not a valid logical argument, because it refers to the prejudices of the listener, and does not call for a sober assessment of the situation. It is calling for emotions instead of giving logical reasons

Appeal to pity is an attempt to gain support by exploiting the opponent’s pity or guilt.

Premises 1 “You must have given me the wrong grade for the exam. I studied the material for several weeks because I knew that my career depends on a good grade. If you give me a bad grade, I’m done!”

Premises 2 "Dear ladies and gentlemen of the jury, look at this unfortunate man. He is confined to a wheelchair; his legs are not functioning. How can such a person be guilty of embezzlement?"

Conclusion

When appealing to emotions, children are most often mentioned. From images of depleted children intended to advertise contributions to charity and ending with pictures to prohibit things they don’t even know about (weapons, porn, etc.), children flicker non-stop in front of the audience, invoking her emotional feelings, often overturning all sorts of rational grounds. The calls to “think about children” have been successfully used by various political movements.

Week 3 Discussion

The operation strategy of an organization's conscious and defined long-term vision and plan designed to achieve and maintain its intended competitive advantage and above-average returns in a changing environment in the future. In this case Dell corporation use the operational strategy for lowering the cost and introducing new strategy to make machine according to need and desire of clients. Dell is known as pioneer of direct-to-consumer model . It allow to produce things at low inventory cost at competitive gain. “QFD is a process that utilizes several tools to translate customer needs into product features”( Design of Goods and Services). Quality Function Deployment is the way of progress of client wishes grounded on the functions and operations of the corporation to guarantee excellence at every phase of the life cycle of a new product.

This strategy will impact Dell ‘s capacity to produce more computers at low cost. As Schroeder (2018) stated that “Dell supports $62 billion in revenues with only $2 billion in fixed assets”(370). This is the good example of that how small changes in strategy can affect productivity of a company. Now we can see 2 things the first thing is that ,Dell proved operational objective that transformed in to service base business model. And the next is by reducing operating cost keep its position at competitive. Hence by changing strategy Dell is able to product its low cost, reliable production and cost-effective services for large number of consumers. According to Schroeder (2018) “The task for the operations function, before delivering any services to customers, is to design the service delivery system”(76).

The acquisition of computer components after this decision will not be easy because when a same thing developed for large number of customer then it is easy to produce but for customize products company require more employees and more time to deliver products. For example is 8Gb ram is standard for a series of computer with 1TB hard disk. So all series will produced at same features but if a customer need 10 GB ram with 2TB hard disk then it will all require adding new things in computer as it is not easy to make single customary pieces. As of Dell, we can study that corporations have to be supportive agenda and approach for partnership and communication among product expansion, sales, and services.

Thankyou Amada for your post. I am agreeing with you and especially when you are saying that “by limiting the flexibility of customers in design of their computer, Dell has switched its strategy to a mass customization strategy, which is an assemble–to- order process that offers a combination of standardization and customization”. In order to fulfill these requirements, it is required to use a new technology for the development, planning and technical preparation of product manufacturing. This technology has been developed in Japan since the end of the 60s and is now being increasingly used in different countries of the world. One of the main tools of this technology is the QFD method (Quality Function Deployment - deployment of quality functions.

Thankyou for your post and it is really an interesting post. You provide us a great detail about Dell and a very straight answers of asked questions. However , I would like to add that Dell’s technology allows you to take into account the requirements of the consumer at all stages of the production of products for all elements of the quality of the enterprise and, thus, dramatically increase the degree of customer satisfaction, reduce the cost of design and preparation of production

It’s always amazing that people who lose their minds because of news of animal cruelty are often the same people to stuff their faces at Maccers, a chain restaurant that is known to buy meat from extremely cruel establishments in which cows, pigs and chickens are held in cruel detention. for their short, painful life. McDonald’s mascots of Ronald and Happy have dangers when advertising to children because it can persuade children to enforce eating fast food more than home made foods. However Mascots are involve in charity but what about persuasion of children towards junk food.

McDonald's as a corporation: what associations come to mind? Reliability, thoughtfulness of details, fidelity to the word, business ethics, concern for reputation. Morally, we are all guilty of the meat we consume, if any, and the environmental consequences of this production. For those who eat meat, they should be happy with these conditions. Otherwise, become a vegan or vegan. Children's advertising is built a little differently than advertising targeted at adults. The purpose of advertising is to demonstrate as many bright, emotional pictures as possible in a short period of time, to hook, to make you want what they show. This is necessary for children (pictures, brightness, emotions), because their attention is scattered. "Ronald brings to life the fun of our brand by connecting with customers around the world, whether he's promoting literacy or spreading cheer at a Ronald McDonald House”( McDonald's introduces new mission and image for Ronald McDonald, 2014).

Marketing strategy or healthy food

Young children are mostly fascinated by the measure on the screen and the vivid picture, and not the meaning of the advertising message, Advertising has been criticized for promoting materialism, persuading individuals to buy things they do not need, and providing false or misleading information( Bakir & Vitell, 2010).

Change in Mc Donald

By strict nutrition standards based on science and nutrition policy, by the end of 2022, at least 50% happy on menus in each market (restaurant menu board, kiosk main order screen, own mobile ordering application) Meal will meet McDonald's new Global Happy Meal nutritional standards of 600 calories or less, calories from saturated fats of 10% or less, salts of 650mg or less, and calories from added sugars of 10% or less.

Thankyou Stephanie for your interesting post and I am agreeing with you that marketing strategies are very important and especially important when it works for children and same in the case of Mc Donald . Yes it is very important for fast food companies to make their food more healthier than just selling it through marketing campaigns.

Week 3 Discussion: Criminal Justice Sergio Sanchez

Author Note

[Include any grant/funding information and a complete correspondence address.]

Criminal Justice

1: Evidence-based corrections are accepted as the gold standard within criminal justice agencies. This method of correction is focused on reducing crime rate which in turn decreases the rate of new crime and ensures public safety. The principles provide a solid framework for reducing recidivism.

2: “Insider knowledge refers, to knowing about something through personal experience, an individual has had as an insider” CITATION Lay00 \l 1033 (Layton, 2000). For instance someone who worked in a correctional agency; the individual has rich knowledge and he understands the complexities of working in a criminal justice system.

Outsider knowledge means that a person applies the scientific method to evaluate what is true. Unlike insiders, outsiders are not associated with any agency but they conduct research to gather knowledge about the subject. They assume that if high-quality studies are conducted, that will allow them to know what is going on. Personal experience is irrelevant for them because, in the end, they put faith only in what the data says.

3: The concept of rehabilitation is based on the supposition that law breaking is based on some factors. “Sometimes rehabilitation is said to embrace the medical model when people get ill; the causes are diagnosed and then treated accordingly.” (Rothman, 1971).

Correctional rehabilitation shares the same concept. The causes are discovered and treatment is given to individuals. It seeks to assist both law violators and the public. “It advocates hope to give offenders the attitude and skills needed to avoid crime and live a productive life” (Rothman, 1971). This model works only if criminal behavior is not a person free will. The major goal of rehabilitation is correction. The first perspective is retribution to give punishment to the offender because he chooses to break the law with his choice. “Deterrence asserts that by punishing offenders will not cause them to return to the crime” (Rothman, 1971). Incapacitation allows to cage the violators to reduce the crime rate.

However, this method of rehabilitation not only focuses on criminals but also protects the society by making offenders less criminal. In this way, less people will become victims of crimes and society will become safer.

Week 3 Discussion Q1

HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION CAPSTONE

The influence of health care and public health on the growth of the nationwide economy as an individual and whole sectors. The influence of the economy of personal industries on the health of the population. This means that well-being economics is a branch financial science that studies the communication of well-being care with the finance of the national frugality, the development, spreading and use of labor, material, and financial resources in health care (Walt, et.al. 1994).

The important law impacting health care and public health systems is related to the national economy. The condition of the health system influences the development of the national economy by continuing the population health (reducing humanity at occupied age, dropping infant and age-related mortality in children, decreasing illness and disability, rising life expectancy) (Bloom, et,.al. 2012). Health is the most important factor of social development in all economic systems. However, the requirement for health is most significant in states by a socially concerned with market economy. The foremost goal of a social market economy is to achieve a higher level of quality of life for the population, the most important part of which is the preservation and strengthening of health. In a socially oriented market economy, the need for health becomes a system-forming factor, and the economic system itself forces a person to strengthen their individual health (Freund, et.al. 2019)..

All individuals have a right to health care. The implementation of the measures will significantly increase the health of the population and improve the quality of life of people, which in turn will contribute to the growth of the economic potential of the country in accordance with the foundations of the theory of institutional economics. Health concerns a key element of the productive forces - directly the manufacturer with his abilities to work and skills to work. Health has a direct impact on labor productivity and only good health allows you to achieve high productivity.

Social cause for Amazon Company

Introduction

Many businesses today know that giving back to society through social causes is one of the fundamentals of growing and expanding the business. According to Scott (2017), in 2016, the corporate world spent $18.45 billion on activities towards charitable and non-profit causes with big organizations participating in volunteer programs. Most companies have, however, struggle with the question of how and where they can effectively participate in social causes. Putting efforts behind one cause enables the organization to have an impacting contribution to society. This paper looks at possible and best social causes that Amazon Company can pursue and make a useful contribution to the communities.

Potential social causes for Amazon

Amazon’s CSR objective is to cooperate with local communities, use technology to bring social change, and ensure environmental awareness. Given these objectives, the best social causes suggested for Amazon Company are as follows: Building and supporting talents in the communities, participating in environmental programs by supporting waste management programs, and spreading technologies by encouraging computer literacy, especially in developing countries. These social causes I selected fit Amazon’s social responsibilities as well as the company’s aspirations, objectives, and direction. I believe that each of these suggested social causes provides effective ways that the company can give back to society while ensuring the continuity of the company’s core objectives.

Evaluation of suggested social causes

Amazon’s business model is based on creativity, innovation, and talent, which enables the company to perennially initiate inventive ways to meet customer demand and ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The relentless pursuit of excellence in modeling the business towards modern technologies and modern methods of doing business has pushed the company’s limits higher. Because of this, I think that Amazon can use its synergy to identify, build, and support talents in different fields. Eggers (2015) notes that companies are increasingly relying on employee perfection and abilities not only to increase their competitive advantage but also to ensure that they develop innovative ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness. By doing so, companies persistently seek talents that can help them in this mission. Amazon, as a technology company, relies on talents too to bring out innovativeness and invention. I believe that investing in different talents, the company can mentor young people who will later excel in their fields.

One of Amazon’s objectives is to ensure environmental sustainability by adopting ways to provide a clean and pollution-free environment. Major companies across the world recognize the importance of environmental sustainability and its integration to the core business activities (Blogger, 2017). Core business models in modern society are intertwined with social and environmental sustainability because unsustainability in these areas will influence business performance in the future. Considering the importance of the environment in business, I believe that Amazon can participate actively in environmental programs by initiative activities such as waste management to reduce pollution and mitigate the effects of global warming. Engaging in environmental programs will benefit Amazon in different ways; it will provide a platform for creating awareness about company programs and activities, and give the company platform to impact the world through fighting pollution and climate change.

Lastly, enhancing technological literacy, especially in developing countries, is an essential mandate worth pursuing. As the societies transform, the discussions among the experts are geared towards technological literacy i.e., the ability to use modern technologies. According to Chetty (2018), digital transformation in contemporary society is one of the critical elements worth investing in because of today’s trends in business, and other activities are aligned with modern technologies. Digital literacy, especially in developing countries, is quite low, and this presents opportunities for big companies like Amazon to transform society through providing materials to assist communities in improving their digital knowledge. Investing in societies' digital literacy works in line with Amazon's mission, vision, and ethical framework.

The best social cause for Amazon

One of the Amazon’s core business objective is to reduce carbon emission by optimizing transportation and improving the packaging to bring efficiency in the distribution of products, and initiating energy efficiency in running the business (Amazon Inc. 2019). Amazon drives sustainability by ensuring that the company invests in energy efficient mechanisms and continually building energy efficient and environmental safety practices. In line with this core mandate, I think the best Amazon’s social cause is to bring environmental sustainability by initiating programs such as waste management in different parts of the world as this will meet the company’s sustainability program as well as mitigating environmental problems. To implement this social cause, the company can develop a plan to manage wastes and increase ways of recycling items, including recycled plastics. The company can work with governments, interested groups, non-governmental organizations, and communities to collect, manage, and reduce wastes in the streets of major towns across the world. This will allow the company to impact the lives of people directly, as well as ensuring that it fights pollution.

Role of stockholder theory and stakeholder theory on my choice

Stockholder (Shareholder) theory postulates that the sole purpose of the company is to maximize profits by prudently investing in programs that will increase profits accrued to shareholders. It mentions that the primary purpose of management is to work on behalf of the shareholders to deliver maximum returns and improve the share price. The stakeholder theory addresses the relationship between the business and the environment. Stakeholders, including employees, customers, contractors, community members, banks, interested parties, and others, are a concern with issues such as morals, values, ethics and social responsibilities of the company (Blackburn, 2019). Stockholder and stakeholder theories influenced my choice of social cause in two ways. First, Amazon's core business involves the packaging and distribution of different products to customers, and this includes activities touching on the environment. In efforts to increase profits, the company invests in energy efficient ways to drive its agenda, and in doing so, it must participate in ensuring the cleanness of the environment that it operates. Secondly, the role of stakeholders is to ensure that the company operates wisely in a competitive environment by ensuring safety and reducing pollution. Amazon’s stakeholders task the company with duties of participating in social responsibilities, including developing programs to provide a clean environment. Therefore, my choice of social cause supports the company’s broader objectives, mission, and vision.

How personal ethical framework impacted by the choice

I am an environmental enthusiast, and I believe that humanity has a greater responsibility for ensuring that the environment is not only clean but also conducive to live. My ethical framework is acting appropriately as an individual, supporting causes that benefits all and creating responsible organizations that are a concern with people’s livelihoods. Let us live in a clean and sustainable environment free from diseases and complications as this ensures that people and animals flourish and enjoy living in the background. My desire to fight environmental pollution by reducing the use of plastics and other non-biodegradable items as well as initiate programs to recycle waste informs my social cause. I believe companies should invest their resources in mitigating wastes by ensuring effective disposal, recycling, and reducing the effects of wastes on people and animals.

Internal and external ethical impacts of my selection

My selection has both internal and external consequences on Amazon Company. To start with, investing in my social cause will enable the company to meet its social responsibility goals and gain a reputation as a socially responsible company. This will have an impact on the company’s name and brand, as many people will trust and support the company’s efforts. It will also drive up sales and consequently the profits. The employees will also learn from management, and they will tend to be more responsive to the company’s programs. Externally, the company will create an outstanding impact on the societies by investing in environmental sustainability and management of wastes. These activities will touch the lives of many people, both economically and socially. A clean environment means fewer diseases and more time to engage in economic activities. Waste management will also reduce pollution and mitigate global warming.

Conclusion

Every company has a social role to play; some can take up roles in championing talents of teenagers while others invest in clean environments. Amazon, as a big company, lay an example to many by playing the role of a leader in environmental sustenance and waste management. Investing in the social cause that I suggested will benefit both shareholders and stakeholders and ensure that the company remains socially responsible.

Week 3: Conflict Resolution Paper

Week 3: Conflict Resolution Paper

Takela Washington (First M. Last)

School or Institution Name (University at Place or Town, State)

Conflict is an inevitable part of any organization and profession. Conflict occurs by the disagreements resulting from the differences in values, goals, and beliefs. Like any other profession, healthcare also deals with a number of conflicts every day which can impact the patient care negatively. Being a nurse, it is of paramount importance to learn about conflicts that can appear on a daily basis. These conflicts range from patient care to being an advocate of the patient. Some conflicts are easy to solve, but some take time and energy is resolving, but more the conflict is lingered; its danger increases. Though conflict is a vast topic, this paper seeks to highlight one of the recurring conflicts in nurse delivery setting which has the potential of producing adverse impacts on quality care delivery, its impacts on the patient care and resolution strategies to solve the conflict.

Conflicts in the healthcare environment tend to more complex as they involve complex relationships between healthcare staff based on emotions. Nurse and other healthcare employees may face stressful situations which leads to poor interpersonal relationships resulting in conflicts. As a result of interpersonal relationships, patient care gets compromised. Interpersonal conflict is one of the most common types of conflicts that the practicing nurse face in their first year of practice CITATION Hig15 \l 1033 (Higazee, 2015). The most recent conflict that has been observed during my practice in an intensive care unit in a hospital located in an urban area was of interpersonal nature.

The conflict happened in 8 bedded unit, in which there were one medical officer and one manager. The main reason for the conflict was the physician attitude towards the nursing staff, lack of communication, stress and exhaustion and the outcome was poor patient care and patient's dissatisfaction. When I was on duty, the physician came to follow up for a lady having urinary tract infection. In addition, the patient case was known of diabetic mellitus. When the doctor arrived, he started shouting and complaining that the patient was not catheterized though he advised the staff for that when the patient was admitted to the hospital. The nurse also missed the insulin dose. The doctor started to insult the nurse and made her accused of the poor patient condition. In addition, he declared the nurse as incompetent and unskilled who must change his profession because in his opinion she was not well aware of her duties. The same day the nurse decided to leave as she felt insulted because she was degraded in front of a number of staff members. There were three people involved in this conflict, the physician, the nurse, and the manager.

The nurse who did all this had a complaining attitude towards the physician. Due to the carelessness of nurse, and physician attitude towards the staff resulted in the worst patient condition. The patient was admitted for about one week, and she was bearing the consequences of interpersonal conflicts between the physician and the staff. Whenever any of the nursing staff members reported conflict, it was ignored by the manager. In this case of conflict as well the nurse decided to leave the job as her problem was not considered and no resolution strategy was adopted by the nursing staff.

Finkleman describes the four stages of conflict that elaborates the process of conflict development. The first stage is the Latent Conflict, which involves the anticipation of conflict. This stage involves certain predictors that can contribute to conflict development. These factors can be inadequate communication or competition of resources CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015). In this case, miscommunication was the predictor of conflict, the nurse and the physician was having miscommunication as she complained manager about the physician attitude. The second stage of the conflict in a perceived conflict which assumes that the conflict already exists at a certain time CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015). In the case of this conflict, the tension going on between the physician and nurse is the evidence of persistent conflict.

The third stage of the conflict, according to Finkleman is felt Conflict, this stage occurs when the individual begins to have feelings about the conflict in the form of stress and anxiety. In this situation, avoidance can be the solution, but it just delays the conflicts rather than solving it. Conflict gets complicated, and this stage involves the trust of the staff member CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015). The current case, the nurse was having stress and anxiety due to the behavior of a physician, and she was not comfortable due to which she complained as well. The conflict was not resolved, and hence she lacked trust in the manager. Initially, she was open about her feelings and shared what she felt, but no action was taken on her complain, and the issue remains unsettled. The last stage as explained by Finkleman is Manifest Conflict, which can be constructive and destructive CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015). The instances of this stage are ignorance of the issue, denying the conflict, or problem-solving and helping the employees. In the case under discussion, the conflict went destructive as it was ignored by the manager and no attention was given towards resolving it.

The conflict resolution is important to increase the quality of patient care. Conflict management is important is healthcare, and it is aimed at three goals, reduce or eliminate the conflict, meet the needs of patients in an effective manner and to ensure that the parties involved in the conflict feel comfortable and positive after the conflict is resolved. In order to solve the conflict under consideration, there is a need to understand the cause of conflict and some factors need to be considered such as nurse may be feeling powerless and less empowered. In addition, aggressive and passive behavior also hinders successful conflict resolution and promotes conflict CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015). Gender issues can also encounter in between the conflicts and the physician may be stereotyping about the female nurse. The hostile behavior of the nurse and the physician is the contribution to the conflict.

This case requires some effective strategies to resolve the conflict to thwart such an event in the future. In order to resolve the conflict in this case, different research studies were explored for the best conflict resolution strategies. After the research, some of the strategies for conflict resolution and prevention that were selected consist were based on the individual personality and characteristics as it has a direct impact on the conflict management and coping ability of a nurse CITATION Siu08 \l 1033 (Siu, 2008). Self-evaluation is one of the strategies that have a substantial impact on conflict management. Different research studies indicate that the nurse core self-evaluation can help in attaining mutual goals and creates efficacy in practices of resolving the conflict. Nurses must be trained in these abilities to engage better with the conflict situations and cope up with them rather than quitting. In addition, nurse's perception about the work environment is also critical and impacts their abilities to resolve conflicts CITATION Siu08 \l 1033 (Siu, 2008). Nurses are having core self-evaluation feel positive about their work environment and have high job satisfaction. Another strategy that can be very helpful in resolving the conflict is creating a work environment which optimizes an individual's capability of constructive conflict resolution CITATION Siu08 \l 1033 (Siu, 2008).

There is a need to create an environment in which, nurses are part of hospital decision making, and there is a nursing model of care that assist in the practice. In addition, the leadership is in support of nurses, physicians and nurses collaborate actively and make the context of work which values cooperative interaction and orientation of mutual goals CITATION Siu08 \l 1033 (Siu, 2008). Studies reveal that those nurses who work in such environments, they mostly learn conflict management approaches swiftly and effectively on their units, such as reciprocal resource exchange, cooperative problem solving, and categorized by excellent and open communication. As a result, it leads to the consequences in which nurses feel that their unit can efficiently and successfully meet the requirements of patients or families of the patients. In addition, another critical strategy to thwart such conflict in the future is that professional nursing organizations must encourage effective management styles to enhance conflict resolution CITATION Ele12 \l 1033 (Elena Losa Iglesias, 2012). The nurse-physician relationship is most effective in providing quality care to the patients. Therefore, positive relationships between them must be enhanced by effective communication, cooperation and collaboration, which are the essential factors for the success of this relationship CITATION Fin15 \l 1033 (Finkelman, 2015)

This assignment was beneficial in recognizing the nature of conflicts that can occur in the workplace. It provided an extensive understanding of the causes behind conflicts especially in the case of interpersonal conflicts that are commonly occurred between the physicians and nursing staff. The different reasons that were revealed in this case were lack of empowerment, gender issues, the poor relationship between nurse and physician and lack of positive and supportive environment. Research also gave an understanding of effective strategies that can be promoted by nurse leaders to resolve the conflict effectively and prevent future conflicts in a nursing career. To avoid precisely this nature of the conflict, core self-evaluation strategies will be used, and a positive relationship with a physician will be promoted. This research has enabled me to give a recommendation on effective conflict resolution and the promotion of a positive work environment for conflict management and resolution.

In every work field, there are situations where the needs of the family are contradictory to the work responsibilities. In such a situation the management needs excellent leadership qualities which can help the employees and the organization to resolve the conflict in the best possible manner. In the provided scenario the conflict resolution skills can be rated as nine on the scale of 10. It is because the management very easily convinced the nurse for the task she and her husband were reluctant about. Wallensteen in his book "Understanding conflict resolution" has stated that conflict resolution is best when a conflict is resolved in a polite manner and without any fights or strikes ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"kknavaFC","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Wallensteen, 2018)","plainCitation":"(Wallensteen, 2018)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":61,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/M5M89YAL"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/M5M89YAL"],"itemData":{"id":61,"type":"book","title":"Understanding conflict resolution","publisher":"SAGE Publications Limited","ISBN":"1-5264-6294-X","author":[{"family":"Wallensteen","given":"Peter"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2018"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Wallensteen, 2018). Another excellent leadership quality displayed in the scenario is to provide a solution to the nurse quickly without compromising the work.

I believe that collaboration with the nurses and other disciplines in the organization before finalizing the new patient assignment scheme would have been beneficial because this would have created a feeling of trust in the Nurses and the concerns of the nurses would have been addressed sooner. Other leadership skills that could have been used are better communication skill, decentralization of decision making and coordination between different segments of the organization.

A BSN-prepared Registered nurse has skills of careful planning, identification of resources and their efficient use, communication, collaborating with other departments effectively and excellent problem-solving skills (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2018). As a case manager, the powers that should be brought to the case in this scenario are the ability to coordinate between the available resources and the requirement of the employees. Another attribute is to actively involve the community in the programs as volunteers who can aid in reducing the expenses of escorts with the nurse.

Discussion 2

Change is a constant part of an environment and works place. In a healthcare system, there are numerous internal and external factors which play a decisive role in bringing a change in the nursing practice. A few examples of the reasons of the change in health care environment are new policies, standards, and protocols, a changed attitude of the people towards a specific idea or practice or introduction of new technology or methods for operating the health care system ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"hfku08rq","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Harkness & DeMarco, 2016)","plainCitation":"(Harkness & DeMarco, 2016)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":64,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/PGM9ECYI"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/PGM9ECYI"],"itemData":{"id":64,"type":"book","title":"Community and public health nursing: Evidence for practice","publisher":"Wolters Kluwer","ISBN":"1-4511-9131-6","author":[{"family":"Harkness","given":"Gail A."},{"family":"DeMarco","given":"Rosanna F."}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2016"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Harkness & DeMarco, 2016). The change in the practice settings of a nurse makes the work stressful and prolonged. In addition to this, it also affects the quality of patient care given to the patients by a nurse. Under the light of these factors, it is cardinal to develop some resilience in the practice settings so to maintain the quality and efficiency of the work. The first step is to keep a positive attitude and to be open to change. It will help in the adoption of new methods and techniques with ease. Another step is to find a resilient role model in life, who can be followed in difficult situations. The role model will guide in setting moral values for the practice settings and lastly Prioritizing the physical well-being will aid in developing more resilience in the practice settings.

In a health care system, it is also very essential to communicate a change in the practice to the patients and the nursing peers because it will help others to understand the changed behavior and the process ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"5pUZXYcI","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Berman, Snyder, & Frandsen, 2016)","plainCitation":"(Berman, Snyder, & Frandsen, 2016)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":67,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/XQZRSCTY"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/Tqq4tlqy/items/XQZRSCTY"],"itemData":{"id":67,"type":"book","title":"Kozier & Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing: Concepts, process and practice","publisher":"Pearson Boston, MA","ISBN":"0-13-397436-7","author":[{"family":"Berman","given":"Audrey"},{"family":"Snyder","given":"Shirlee"},{"family":"Frandsen","given":"Geralyn"}],"issued":{"date-parts":[["2016"]]}}}],"schema":"https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/master/csl-citation.json"} (Berman, Snyder, & Frandsen, 2016). For this reason, the best way to communicate a change to others can be done by announcing emails or through publishing the new policies on the notice boards for the patients. Another method that can be opted is to provide a list of changed systems in every room for the inpatients and by publishing them on the website.

Thus, they are allowed to broadcast the film. I agree with the decision of the Court. In a political campaign, a party must be able to exercise its freedom of speech completely given that it does not violate the rights of others. The public has the right to be aware of the actions of politicians, however, they must also respect their privacy. The state cannot nullify a ruling which is based on the constitution of the U.S. As this court decision is made by Supreme Court based on the First Amendment, the State of New York cannot nullify it and impose its laws for limiting the corporation’s spending for promoting a political candidate. The U.S Constitution recognizes the freedom of speech of a corporation under the Bill of Rights. The amendments in the constitution do not use the word ‘corporation’ ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION {"citationID":"9fv5pQ4C","properties":{"formattedCitation":"(Ratner, 1980)","plainCitation":"(Ratner, 1980)","noteIndex":0},"citationItems":[{"id":892,"uris":["http://zotero.org/users/local/YgsdZK9k/items/QX3ZKE58"],"uri":["http://zotero.org/users/local/YgsdZK9k/items/QX3ZKE58"],"itemData":{"id":892,"type":"article-journal","container-title":"University of San Francisco Law Review","journalAbbreviation":"U.S.F. However, businesses are treated similarly as the people or groups of people in court cases generally. Thus, the right to freedom of speech of a corporation is protected under the First Amendment’s Free Exercise Clause of the Constitution.

Corporations should not be allowed to spend millions of dollars on supporting a political candidate. The political campaigns that spend a fortune in promoting a political party hinder the fair political system as well as the economy of the middle class. Those who spend a lot of money in promoting a candidate, are investing in policies and programs that will benefit them in the long run. Not only do they influence the views of Americans through the expenditure, but they can potentially reshape the economy too. Corporations invest in political campaigns, with the intention that after the candidate is selected, they will receive the benefits of lower taxes, construction approvals, and other types of special treatment.

WEEK 4 DISCUSSION

Week 4 Discussion

The most important quality a leader should have is authenticity.Empirically, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between formal and informal organizational leadership patterns because in practice in managing formal organizations, the leadership patterns shown by some "leaders" are almost the same as managing non-formal organizations. In practice in managing non-formal organizations, such as associations, associations, and certain clubs, the pattern of leadership is almost the same as managing formal organizations. A transformational approach is a process that changes and transforms individuals. This approach is related to long-term values, ethics, standards and goals.

Burns' (1978) work on transactional leadership shows how the nature of leader-follower interactions facilitates reciprocal engagement that transcends particular interests in pursuit of a collective goal, using high ideals. Considering the values that make up a transformational leader, namely creativity, morality, ethics and enthusiasm, the whole set provokes motivation in its followers that other models do not achieve. (Kuhnert& Lewis, 1987).

Bass (1985) draws on Burns' work to apply them to a work team and demonstrates, in particular: - that a shared vision and objectives produce a strong commitment on the part of the collaborators; - that the positive behaviors of the leader modify the perception and the beliefs of the collaborators and lead them to surpass themselves to increase the collective performance. For Bass and Avolio (2000), the transformational leader is characterized by four types of behaviors. (Gregory Stone, Russell & Patterson, 2004).

Transformational leadership emerged as a representative of a "culture of change", beginning with the rule that it wants to eliminate individualistic egoism, overcome its limitations, and walk toward the collective good . A group, institution, work team or any entity with more than 3 members is focused on its members to develop and strengthen their ability to solve problems collectively. In this way, the members of the group are always expected to perform above expectations, exceeding the set expectations, the fruit of the high motivation conveyed by the transformational leader.
