Values and beliefs help a community to propose what is sought and avoided, good and bad and pleasant and unpleasant for a society. Society defines culture, beliefs, and ethics. How individuals behave in society, and their preferences will be defined by their values. The society having no murders, no suicides, no poverty and no racial discrimination would be considered as ideal society. Fragmentation in the society, cultural beliefs and values define how civilized a society is. Most of the settled families in the United States belong to other countries and have no concept regarding the beliefs and values of American society. Families belonging to different areas and settled in America are stuck between two cultures. They have to follow the beliefs and values of their society and the values of the United States. However, they learn, adapt and educate themselves according to the culture. People should only know what is best for them and how best things can create a better future for their children. Humans cannot live alone in a wilderness. They have to sit, walk and work together for survival. Development of society depends on how people practice their beliefs and values such as society living in a way that encourages positivity, and collaboration would face less discrimination and will ultimately promote respect and care. Ethnic values and cultural differences should be respected in society to mould it in a flexible way that can respect all cultures and religions.
American culture promotes freedom and opportunities. Current American culture is a mix of various cultures such as natives, Asian Americans, African Americans, and Latin Americans. Values and beliefs are also shared and promoted in a sense that accepts and welcomes freedom. Children are what their parents have taught them. In the United States, it has been observed that the country is promoting respect for all, respecting other cultures and beliefs and differences to improve communication and collaboration among societies. The multicultural environment usually has many problems related to religion, ethnicity, culture, and values. The low socioeconomic status of societies is associated with greater probabilities to encourage offense. Violence and intolerance originate when individuals feel that they are not considered as significant citizens and therefore utilize force and power to attain success.
