Team proposal
The team which is going to be proposed will be for the Red Lobster which is a restaurant company. Red Lobster is hosting an event for which they require a team which can work together and pull off this fantastic event. We are all from different departments of the company, and we are going to work together to make this event successful. The goals of our group will be to work as a team, communicate with each other, time management and meeting the deadlines before the event. We are going to be a group of 6 people, and we will manage all the work equally. The goal of our team will be to make this event successful for the company by effectively communicate with each other to resolve each other's issues and know each other's point of view.
Every member of a team is responsible for the management of this event, so we will work towards a common goal by collaborating and making effective teamwork. The person who we selected as our leader has great leadership skills. A leader is the one who is responsible for all the outcomes of the company. A quality of a good leader is to communicate with team members and help them whenever they require help from them. We selected a leader who has experience in event management and can help the members of the team who would not have knowledge of event management.
The characteristics we look in the team members while selecting them for our team where they should be supportive, they should be flexible in the situations, they show genuine commitment, and they should be reliable and always ready to help each other. Each member is given different roles to perform in this event. From the team of 6 members, there is one leader of the team, and two persons will be the acting as a host, the remaining others will be managing the event operations.
There are four methods for enhancing group cohesion. The first method is to make a team of similar interest, the second method will be they able to communicate with each other effectively, the third method will be to develop trust with each other in a team and the last method will be to represent creative ideas which will help in the overall growth of the group. We selected team members because they were having all the characteristics of working in a group.
We build a team who are mature enough to avoid conflicts and act like a mature person. The team members in our team are compromising and collaborative. They know how to accommodate each other during a conflict. In every team leader is responsible for the problem solving, but team members are also responsible for the outcomes of the organization. Our team will first define a problem, and then they will look at the potential causes for the problem, identify alternatives to solve the problem, select an approach to resolve problems and plan how they will implement their plan.
We will create an agenda on which the whole team will work in our first meeting. In the agenda, we will describe about the roles of each team members in details and collaborate with them. We will discuss how the outcomes of this event will affect each team member and how we can make this event successful. Every team member will be given a chance to describe their opinion, and in the end, a leader will select the best option which will help the group to achieve a common goal.
