Global Relevant Decisions
The most pressing global relevant decisions are made in the aspects of climate change and risks deforstation. The US report on climate change reveals that there are twelve years left for taking appropriate measures that could eliminate the problem of global warming. The net goals set for limiting warming is by 3.6oF or 2 Celsius. The stricker limit is set as 2.7 oF or 1.5 oC CITATION Uma18 \l 1033 (Irfan, 2018). The relevant decisions include minimizing the use of fossil fuels and coals for controlling carbon emission. The set target will allow the world to bring global warming to zero by 2040. The decisions are focused on removing carbon dioxide from air by shifting energy use. Most of the energy comes from fossil fuels that results in emission of carbon dioxide that further leads to global warming.
Some of the relevant global decisions include decision of planting more trees. The data reveals that this solution suggests that Russia must plant trees in area of 1.5 square kilometers, United States must plant 1 million square kilometers and Canada 784,000 square kilometers CITATION Lau19 \l 1033 (Geggel, 2019). These steps will allow the world to get rid of 330 billion tons of carbon dioxide. These solutions are also effective for controlling the issue of deforestation.
These decisions also responds to the inter-group conflicts such as cutting coal for production of energy will lay off workers. The global agenda of cutting coal for addressing the issue of climate change caused massive layoffs of 465 workers in Wyoming CITATION Ben16 \l 1033 (Storrow, 2016). To address these conflicts the global relevant decisions have focused on offering alternative jobs to the laid off workers. The suggestions include setting conventional power plant industry that will offer jobs to the laid off workers. These strategies will be effective for handling inter-group conflicts.
