Suggestions for making PowerPoint presentation more engaging:
PowerPoint presentation is the presentation that is created by using a particular sort of software. It is the collection of individual slides that contain information about the selected topic. PowerPoint presentation is generally used in business meetings and for acquiring educational purposes as well (Atkinson,et,al,2011). For making it more appealing and engaging one has to follow some of the basic rules. In the case of Don, first of all, he has to change the way he put his content as in PowerPoint content should be not in essay form. One should understand that he just need to put main idea of the topic (Knight,et,al,2018). The text could be placed in bullet form; there is no need of pasting all the text in slides. Following are the main steps that Don should use for making his PowerPoint Presentation professional and engaging:
Try to use professional and topic related to design.
Start with the title slide that would pique the interest of the audience.
Try to utilize all the available material text, images, art and videos in an appropriate way.
Try to add animation, transition, and cinematic motion by keeping the audience in mind.
Use more effective images in slides despite the text as text could be placed in the speaker notes.
Use the font size that could be easily seen.
Make sure that all the things are properly aligned.
Keep this fact in mind that contact information is equally important, maintain a proper balance between design and text so that none of the two things would lack.
If one wants to make his presentation impressive and professional then, he should use high-quality graphics.
Try to use charts and diagrams for making the audience understand the concept that you want them to pick from your presentation.
Use aid of audio if necessary but make sure that your PowerPoint presentation is visible to all.
