Thesis Statement

This research aims to explore the answer to the question “Is the US moving towards diversity and equality in the workplace?”. Data used for conducting this research is collected from the surveys distributed among the employees of the various companies. Previously my research topic was based on the acceptance of diversity in modern times and the inequality that ethnicities other than white Americans face in the work environment. My topic was trying to explore the various dimensions of the lack of diversity and my focus of research was scattered among the various themes. Now I have narrowed down the topic to emergence and growth situation of diversity and equality at a workplace. Instead of using general hooks in the start of the research I have clearly stated thesis topic in the beginning. The main difficulty faced by my peers and me was narrowing down the topic. We were unable to agree on the selection of the theme for the research. Then we researched data regarding various themes. Based on research data, we selected the theme of questioning the existence of diversity and equality in workplaces in the US. As we thought that this topic is in relevance to current situations and we can find better resources online for this theme.
