Personal Statement
Everyday technology is advancing and converting ideas, that were once thought too ambitious, into reality. It no hidden secret how computers have influenced our lives and become an essential part of every activity. It has transformed our lives and continue to make it easier and secure. The exponential growth is extensive and widespread applications of computers are numerous (Sayer et al.). The technology astounds everyone with its practicality and utility and this is the reason I want to become a Computer Engineer. The task of a computer engineer is to research and explore, design a suitable and sustainable solution, develop the solution, test it via prototypes and supervise the manufacturing and installation of circuit boards, chips, and computer systems (Brookshear). In addition to this, they also develop peripherals to extend the scope of the project.
My major interests include Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Physics and with a fusion of these major, I aspire to enter the field of Quantum Computing. It is my hobby to read and research on many interesting topics of Quantum Computing. I find this field particularly interesting as the rate of technological advance is even higher (Hirvensalo). The field of computer science has an extensive variety of exciting and assorted careers ranging from hardware engineers to web developers.
I aim to go to the U.S. to study computer engineering as their institutes are world recognized for quality higher education, especially computer engineering. This is the reason that competition for getting admission there is hard. My motive to study in America is to focus on developing practical skills which are required hardware engineering and programming. The institutes in America encourage students to join multiple technical projects which are mainly organized by universities or tech companies. U.S. is known as the ‘Hub of IT Companies’. It because IT experts gather on technical platforms in the U.S. and hold courses and lectures on the latest trends in Computer Science. From the job perspective, the U.S. is one of the best places to study computer engineering because the technical companies send experts to teach at universities and conferences, moreover, as they frequently recruit for talented interns. It is understood that as many inventions and advancements take place in America so more job opportunities are available there.
