i1000 is against Asian American Values

No one can deny the fact that equality is solely based on the human nature of humans, not because of their biological, psychological, social or economic attributes however racism counters this idealistic overview to a greater extent. For example, initiative- 1000 or i- 1000 legislation was presented to equalize the definition of equality through removing the equality standards such as race by the government to make preferential actions in socio-economic scenarios for underserved races. Based on the readings and personal observations, I truly realize that i1000 goes against Asian American values because it is government's sole responsibility to make active attempts to mitigate unequal treatments in healthcare, education and employment sector against the individuals belonging to different races. Needless to say, racism not only exists in our societes but also perpetuates within the cultures constantly and this situation demands governmental figures to execute preferential policies for the individuals of minority races. However, i1000 legislation's "generalized concept of equality" limits the special attempts put forward by the government for racism victims that require appropriate consideration in personal and social life circumstances. Hence, those who oppose this piece of legislation are having a pro-social insight because equality cannot be attained untill or unless preexisting inequality is subjected to deliberate removal and a sound basis is provided to the upcoming spell of "generalized" equality--it is immensely meaningless to desire for generalized equality when there is so much inequality going on within the cultures based on races and other biological and social attributes.
