Consent Decrees and its impact on Police Organizations

Consent Decree is a settlement that is meant for resolving a dispute between two different parties without an admission of guilt. (Kent & A, 2019). It is also called antitrust decree, consent judgment, and settlement agreement. This decrees forces police officers and mayors to employ reforms within set deadlines. It is a short term successful method that instigates reforms in the police department.
