I think that the Phoenician Alphabet has a much more important role in the History of Civilization when it comes to the role of Monotheism. This is because the Phoenician Alphabet is an important stage of evolution of recording historic accounts in a language. Although, it may be considered rather incomplete due to lack of vowels in it, yet it is mostly from which the modern alphabet comes from that is so frequent in use today.
There are other reasons too that make Phoenician Alphabet more important. These people were sailors that traversed the Mediterranean Sea often CITATION Tha12 \l 1033 (Thamis). This made sure that their imprint existed a long time before the first recorded incident of propagation of the idea of Monotheism in Europe. Also, the idea of monotheism can be seen to have been propagated by using this system of the alphabet. This set of alphabets was adopted by the Israelites and Arameans that are considered as one of the nations that started the idea of Monotheism in the Middle East and later Europe.
Another thing that we must know that Monotheism is known and grasped by the Israelites as a written covenant between them and the One God CITATION AIC \l 1033 (AICE). The commandments were cast in stone, that later became the basis of the written scripture called the Torah. Here we can observe that the Israelites managed to create an elevated religion by recording what the One God commanded in the form of the Phoenician Language. The Language ended up supporting the idea in the first place!
In the end, I would like to say that it was the language that ended up conveying and supporting the ideas in the first place, and that would continue to be in this world unless humankind learns to preserve their knowledge by direct mind contact.
