Human Activities Are Drying Out the Amazon: NASA Study
By
Esprit Smith (November 5, 2019)
The article chosen and titled above is about conveying one of the most important concerns regarding the environment. The article analysis a study of the NASA organization. The article under analysis says that the activities of human beings are drying out the Amazon. The author of the article basis his study on the report or study of NASA.
According to (Esprit Smith, 2019), a study conducted by NASA states that for more than 20 years, the atmosphere above the Amazon is getting drying while the demands for water are getting increased at a strong pace. Hence, it has been found that the main reason behind the drying out of the Amazon is the activities of human beings.
The articles also state that NASA uses the satellite data for the purpose to track both the amount of moisture that was already in the atmosphere as well as how much moisture was required to keep the rainforest system. Additionally, the article can be found is a credible study and analysis because it gathers all relevant information about the main concern and analysis. Such as the article says that the NASA research found that it has been observed for more than last 20 years, that there is a huge increase in dryness in the atmosphere comes to witness as well as the higher demand for water is coming to see continuously (Esprit Smith, 2019).
The article under evaluation is a useful source if one wants to understand the phenomena. It is so because the article does not only cover the main concern which is dryness of atmosphere and higher water demand in the atmosphere. While it also put a full light on the main and major reasons and causes behind the problem coming to see for two decades. Hence, the article concludes the statement of Barkhordarian saying that the gas level of green housing is responsible for almost 50% of the increased aridity in nature. While the remaining 50% problem is caused by human activities on the earth.
At last, the article also finds that why the concern matters. For clarification, the study articulates some credible reasons such as the inability of some trees to survive for long and deforestation and happening of the agricultural expansion in some regions around the globe. For the purpose to changes the case and situation, we need to focus on eliminating the human activities that lead to dry the Amazon as well as we have to work on improving forests all over the world (Marengo, et.al, 2018). While the scientific way can be the development of the environment including forests where less amount of CO2 gets released into the atmosphere.
