The myth of Model Minority has always been there in the US. From the start of the introduction of the African Americans in the southern states to the start of immigration of different ethnic groups, the main aim of the Whites has always been to subdue the races that have come to the United States for making a name for themselves. The "authorities" have always tried to practice assimilation of all the races. Our governments need to realize that there can be no island of peace in a land of disparity. All the minorities in the US must be taken out of poverty instead of practicing the concept of model minority and teaching them to be content in their modest access to resources that are barely enough to survive. Also, the definition of disability should be used on humanitarian grounds rather than political ones. We cannot declare misbehaving black children as disables.

Although many of my fellows would disagree from this point, I still believe that sexual attraction and orientation has taken such a central position in our lives that we have simply started to stop thinking about other problems that have started to affect the future of humanity. True, this discussion is intended to promote tolerance in the society, but my point here is that these desires should not have absolute command of our senses to such an extent that we lose the importance of everything else in the society. On the other hand, I agree with you that minorities in the US are being suppressed systematically. But I believe that this problem can easily be solved by the introduction of laws that suppressed these legalized practices of racism in our society. Otherwise, we may experience another civil war soon due to these practices that I may term as "Neo-slavery".
