Response 1
I agree that the dichotomous of inpatient and outpatient care remains a significant concern in the healthcare system of America. The post highlights a valid reason behind the increased scope of outpatient care. I agree that funding is one of the common issues that caused hospitals to use outpatient care for treating high patient turnover CITATION Lei14 \l 1033 (Shi & Singh, 2014). The healthcare institutes in America have used the concept of outpatient for catering to the needs of a larger population. However, a significant population still fails to receive primary healthcare services. I agree that the Affordable Care Act has increased the demand for healthcare services due to increased patient turnover. The situation exhibits the need for generating more funds and resources. Due to ACA, the demand for physicians and healthcare provides has increased. The state is still facing the challenge to provide primary care services to the entire population.
Response 2
I agree with the post because it states that the healthcare system has progressed in America for the last several years. It is a fact that the spending of Americans on healthcare has exceeded $3.5 trillion. I agree that the American policy on healthcare has increased the demand for services and hospitals. Due to limited funds and difficulty of responding to the patients in time, the outpatient concept was introduced. The purpose of outpatient care was to handle a larger population of patients who had to wait outside the hospitals CITATION Kim142 \l 1033 (Leonard, 2014). I agree that the advancements in the healthcare sector have allowed doctors and physicians to perform many functions in outpatient. This biggest advantage is saving the life of patients by responding immediately. I agree that the biggest challenge faced by hospitals is to offer good quality care at affordable prices. This requires huge investments and funds.
