I warmly welcome you all at the community center for as I am going to make an important announcement. I am highly obliged for your presence in this community center. Being a social activist, today I need to inform you about an issue that relates directly to the safety of our community. I believe that awareness should be given upon the topic of the use of social media (Sánchez Abril,et,al,2012). I second the thought that freedom of speech should be enjoyed by every individual but this fact must be kept in mind that freedom comes along with some responsibilities. It is important to make our community aware that social media should be used only for constructive purposes.

Influence of social media cannot be denied. Ways social media is used impact our lives. Some of the users make dangerous and threatening videos just for getting some likes and popularity on social media. On the other hand, some users blackmail others by threatening them of leaking their personal details (Carr,et,al,2012). So, the purpose of this gathering is to make you people aware of how disastrous usage of social media could be if you use it without taking care of your actions and their effects on others. I would end my speech by advising the youngsters about the evils that lurk within the online community. At the same time, parents need to be vigilant about how their children are using and getting influenced by social media.
