Research and Review (Part 1)
According to the findings of a recent report conducted by Kirchoff and his partners in 2018-19, those who survived from cancer they had at their childhood and young adult stage have more risk to develop cancer again. Male has 150 per cent more chance to have second cancer at late stages of life, while females have a 40 per cent risk of developing cancer still. Doctors suggested these patients the vaccination of human papillomavirus (HPV) to prevent or reduce the risk of developing second cancer (HSR Project Search System, 2019). However, it has been noticed that few of the people are getting this vaccination, and preventing from any significant complications. There are three significant doses of this vaccination that are found hardly fulfilled by the people who have had cancer at their earlier stage of life. According to Feinberg et al., (2015), In Canada some adults had show reluctance to the HPV vaccination, though they are well aware regarding its benefits, and the consequences in case of missing it.
Part 2
The vaccine is the source of life, and it saves us from many fatal diseases, such as cancer, polio etc. Vaccinations after birth save a person from these deadly diseases throughout life.
I want to choose the topic of this study as, ‘Vaccination and public ignorance’ because people avoid the vaccination because they don’t know its benefits and consequences.
I would focus on the facts and figures, I would collect the data from patients and will post in the questionnaires, I would run some statistical test on the data. Then it will be analysed accordingly.
The audience of my study will be health care professionals, patients who are suffering from certain cancers, and the families of a cancer patient. A person who survives from cancer will go for this vaccination to mitigate the risk of second cancer development.
I would have three options for my topic. First is Vaccination save the life, second Vaccination and people perceptions, and third is Vaccination and people ignorance.
