Greed is good
Michael Douglas in his famous speech from the movie Wall Street delivered the famous words which were criticized by everyone, but later on, these words were the game-changing power. These words have played a significant role in determining the values and those value which has an impact on our moral and on our character. For him, the words greed was not bad, but it should be molded. There are always some synonyms for the words which may not be as offensive as a person can think a soft word for these offending words (Dütting, Gkatzelis & Roughgarden, 2015).
In his historic speech, he also cleared the point that greed is not a bad word and tried to portray the image in the more positive aspect from here the people can realize that it is used for good. The word greed may sound offending to people as this may have a negative impact on the people, and that may go against their will but the actual sense of this word can be only portrayed when the people realize that for others it is not greed it is their extra efforts that they put in by using all their means and ways to get an access to the amount of money which they want to spend on their lives for a better living lifestyle (Konar & Sidiropoulos, pg. no.1524, 2017, October).
His words also moved the people to the point where they made a sense to the people and persuaded them to the point that all these factors are not wrong. It was the efforts put in by all the organizations in the United States of America that they reached to the point where they were marked as the second in the entire world. This was all due to their efforts that they wanted something extra and better for themselves whether they like it or not but the sense and feeling of altruism remains intact with them.
