True crime as genre of writing: True crime is a very different form of literary analysis. In true crime the authors mostly use the technique of examining the actual crime scenes and mention in quite detail about the actions of real people. It has been observed that more than half of the true crime stories have been written about murder or have covered the life stories of the serial killers.
In the new journalism ‘the aspect of reporting’ challenges the aspect of reporting in today’s journalism. It has been noticed majorly in the writings about the true crime that they involve subjectivity, whereas the news stories of today are objective in nature.
