Response to 1st Question

           The literary work presented by E.B. White is a suitable example of different changes to ensure appropriate crafting of the draft in the end. A comprehensive analysis of this piece of work explicitly revealed structural changes adopted by the author to successfully present the main argument to the audience. The sixth draft is different from the third draft by the author because, in the revised version, he focused to illustrate the trip to the moon in detail manner in the form of the first moonwalk. It is noteworthy to recognize the significant change that creates a difference between both the drafts and it appeared as a clear demonstration of the actual problem explained in this article. 

It is observed that the problem statement is clearly defined for the audience in the sixth draft as compared to former revised work. This particular change examined through his statement about, “a moon is a poor place for flags.” This specific statement creates the difference between both the drafts because, in the third revised version, the author developed a long prior argument to define the main problem in the content. This approach is altered by White in the sixth revised version as he defined the problem statement in a more concise and clear manner. Another momentous change is also observed in the form of style of articulating words and arguments in case of both the revised drafts. The revised sixth draft is dissimilar from the third draft because the author shifted his focus and words to explain the main idea to the readers as compared to extensive focusing on relevant examples.

           The one thing that requires the necessary attention is that consideration of continuous structural changes is a necessary practical step to meet the actual target of revised work effectively and efficiently. Proper mechanical segmentation is a necessary practical measure to develop a better argument in the form of an essay. The option of structural changes eventually helps to craft better arguments and judgments about the main idea or thought of the essay.
