It is crucial for the ESL teacher to integrate print and electronic resources for creating an appropriate learning environment for the students. English language teachers must possess complete knowledge of the resources that can improve the language skills of the students. Due to advancements in technology reliance on print sources such as books, guidelines and materials are not essential. They also need to learn using technology for improving interaction with the learners. Essential print materials include a lesson plan and notes that they use for completing a lecture each day. By creating communicative lesson plans it is possible to transmit the themes in an effective manner. Grammar worksheets and flashcards are used for creating an attraction for learners.
Technology is an essential tool for teaching children language skills. ICT tools have a practical role in enhancing language competency due to immediate access to the internet. The students can develop an attitude of self-directed learning if the educator manages to use technology in an appropriate manner CITATION Ism18 \l 1033 (Anas & Musdariah, 2018). The teacher must make the best possible use of the ICT tools for building a positive relationship with the students. It has been revealed in researches that ESL can achieve the goal of enhancing language skills by using ICT tools for interacting with students. There are numerous benefits of integrating technology in lectures such as it allows a teacher to reduce the level of distractions among children. Handling technological tools could be daunting so teachers must be well-trained for integrating them during lectures. The most important aspect of ICT tools is that it focuses on student-centered learning, not a teacher-dominated strategy. The common technology tools that are used by teachers in the classroom are projectors for displaying the lists, videos, and tablets. Evidence suggests that students who are offered to learn through technology exhibit a high level of attention. This is an effective way of overcoming distractions CITATION Ism18 \l 1033 (Anas & Musdariah, 2018). The teacher must also possess personal skills such as understanding students from different backgrounds and ethnicities, building a positive relationship and adopting a compassionate behavior. By these attributes, the level of interaction can be improved.
The research allowed me to learn the role of digital literacy and its impact on the teaching competency of ESL teachers. Before research, I was unaware of the term. e-teacher development is an important aspect of building a teacher's competency. It facilitates different competencies including pedagogical knowledge, technical and communication skills. With the advancement in technology, it has become crucial for the teachers to learn the use of ICT tools and help students for increasing their language competency.
My research on ESL teachers will help me in my career because I would be able to apply them in-class lectures. I will use the learned knowledge such as ICT tools for removing distractions and giving practical exposure. By using personal values of understanding students and building a positive relationship I would create a positive learning environment.

ESL teachers must integrate print, technology and personal resources for teaching students. This is a practical way of engaging them in the lectures and removing distractions. Flashcards having a section of vocabulary and phonetics is crucial for improving more opportunities for learning for the children. Charts and worksheets can be used for highlighting phrases that student needs to learn. Technology tools are also equally important for building an interactive environment in classrooms. The benefits of technology can be availed only if an ESL teacher is proficient in using it. This requires the teacher to build technological competency, using ICT tools and the internet professionally and develop web-based skills CITATION Ism18 \l 1033 (Anas & Musdariah, 2018).
Personal skills are also important for the ESL teacher that includes building cultural competency. Teachers who manage to understand students with different backgrounds are able to create a positive learning environment. This will allow the teacher to treat students equally and eliminate discrimination CITATION Jac172 \l 1033 (Richards, 2017). The teachers must be proficient in using the teaching materials such as printed books and content for offering adequate guidance.
I learned that the ESL teacher has to work as a metacognition facilitator which indicates that he will develop activities that directly engage students in the process of using language. By providing the opportunity of using the language they would familiarize themselves with the practical aspects. I was previously unaware of how teachers can use metacognition or help students apart from giving lectures. I explored the activities that help in e-teaching such as content facilitators. This reflects that the ESL teacher has to choose appropriate content for teaching the English language to the students. This requires the teacher to act as a language expert and design content for teaching important words.
I would use my learning for building adequate skills required for starting a career as an ESL teacher. I would integrate technological tools for creating an interactive learning environment for the children. Using relevant print material for teaching phonetics and vocabulary will improve by teaching. My focus would be on adopting the metacognition process in which my focus will be on building direct interaction with the children. My knowledge of personal values also has a significant role in improving my teaching competency. By learning the importance of cultural competency I would manage to address the children from different cultures with equality. These factors will help me in building a successful career as an ESL teacher. My focus would be on eliminating the environment of distraction by focusing on interacting learning.
