An analogy helps in the learning process of science fiction as it makes the data and information authentic and simple to understand. Furthermore, new schemata are also created by analogy when the structures are transferred from the source of various domains. These domains are basically analogs. Whereas metaphors play a significant role in the learning process as they are a link to new perspectives. Metaphors also help a person in developing imagination and support in visualizing abstract ideas. They provide information that is necessary and relevant for learning. This also makes the construction of known and familiar things easier and convenient.

There are some fields of study in science fiction that require visual analogies for determining the influence of visualization. These visualizations have a prominent impact due to which the students should be familiar with the domain if analog, in order to make the analogical reasoning successful. The most beneficial aspect is that analogies and metaphors are of some similar properties. This advantage facilitates the students most in their learning process especially when the students follow metaphor to analogy approach. The metaphorical aspect also helps teachers in provoking students. Analogies and metaphors help in determining the functions that are of significant importance in the development of science.
