The two styles of Delivery
Jon Gordon has remained expressive throughout in the video. He is trying to make a connection with the audience of him. The body language of Jon suggests that he is sorting the things out by being more elaborative about the things he is talking about. Whereas, John Maxwell appears comfortable. His style of speaking suggests that he has a tight grip on the flow of his words. Both speakers share a striking contrast in their speech.
What the speakers were talking about?
Jon Gordon is talking about the teamwork. He has elaborated three C's, which he thinks are important for completing a task. The three C's according to Jon is Communicating, Caring and Coaching. He opines that communication helps in building trust. After when there is trust between the team members, they can coach each other (Gordon). This is how the team can reach a target by having the same opinion about any phenomena.
John Maxwell’s style of speech is completely different from Jon Gordon. After sharing his personal life stories in a candid way, he leaves a question. He speaks in a more connecting way and asks the audience how they would question to someone if they need to sort out any matter. As an example, Maxwell mentions a question, he once askd to the Maanger of the Golf Course.
The analysis of both the speaker's way of speech suggests that anyone who could be elaborative and candid at the same time can make the audience understand his pont of view. Both the speakers share a totally different style. By having a comapritive analysis of both speaker’s way of speech, it becomes clear that speaking with the audience require some skills.
What would I have done it differently?
If I was Jon Gordon, I must have engaged in a more joyful manner. And If I was John Maxwell, I would have made the questions more elaborative.
How would I have felt in the audience?
Since I have been listenng to Jon Gordon and Maxwell, therefore a live interaction with them would be exciting for me.
