The Movie Crash
The crash is an award-winning movie directed by Paul Haggis based on several types of racial relations and revolves around the experiences and happenings of Iranians, whites and blacks, Koreans and other criminal characters. They all, directly or indirectly are the victims of racism. The movie contains a variety of cast including Terrence Howards. Jennifer Esposito, Michael Pena, Thandie Newton, Matt Dillon, and William Fichtner. There are a number of supporting characters as well in the movie.

This also shows the low spotlight throughout the movie. One thing can also be seen that the director focuses more on the expressions and emotions of actors which makes it really rather a film. The film incorporated very rare action scenes and among those action scenes, one is when Terrence tried to hijack a car.
The Police then started chasing in Los Angeles and that added some action there on the plot as a whole. The film, which was used in standpoint shots, brought extra critics to the film process and reduced the space between both, viewers and characters. The movie contains repetitive scenes showing people making their own assumptions which prevent them to see the actuality person standing in front of them. For example, Shaun Toub, the Iranian guy, is perceived by other characters as an Arab, but they are in fact Persian. Sandra is the district attorney and his white wife and that Iranian guy, both pre-assumed about Michael Pena, who is a Mexican-American, that he belongs to a criminal gang which later proved him a noble family man. This begins crash among their interaction just because of ‘touch' that was missing.
Don Cheadle, who is a black policeman, has an affair with Jennifer but he hesitated because he assumed that she is white. Same happens with another cop, Matt Dillon, who self-assumed that a skinny lady, Thandie Newton, is white. Further conflicts can be seen when a white producer gives suggestions to Terrence (a black TV director) that the character is not appearing black so much as it should be and this makes director thinking that the producer is making fun of him or using sarcastic language for him. In all such scenes, we can clearly see that the crash occurs when all characters started building assumptions on their own about others the things happened same as they thought just because they were not looking into the actual personalities, attitudes, and beliefs of others.
Narrative perspective
The sound in the film engaged the simple dialogues and presented each scene with an advanced point of view. When characters used some slang terms, they proved to be the essential element to convey the message to the viewers and make them able to understand and relate with the situation in reality. For example, the transfer of dialogues between two black thieves hijacking a car contained some words that may be considered as offensive but they are aimed to let the viewers imagine it in reality. The music played those thieves was Western type and hip-hop indicating that music also plays an important role in promoting racism in life and reduces various diverse stereotypes. One thing is worth to mention the place of playing music in the movie. The overall soundtrack of the movie best describes and suits the scenario.
The shots were taken, the camera work and the use of focusing objects or characters is the art of film making. The movie Crash is an example of taking perfect shots and making stunning camera angles for scenes capturing. For example, when Michael Pena made debut in this movie in the house of Cabbots, Michael's social standing was captured by the best angles made for camera and stereotypes. The close shot of Cabot while descending the stairs, the camera captured her high physical spot. This high position shows the best shot of showing her superior status to Michael Pena. The impression then shown by the characters further adds beauty to the scene. In that scene, we see Michael wearing casual jeans with a shaved head. The close shots of his tattoos perfectly forced Cabbots to think him of a gangster. This combination of costume and appearances promotes the sense of making assumptions without knowing the reality behind this.

The stereotypes are not obvious because they are all counterfeit, apart from their habits for an individual's life and experiences.
