Identify the model of nursing care that you observed.

The nursing model of care most selected for catering patients include Patient-Centered Care. The purpose of adopting this model is to address the needs of patients in an effective manner that leads to maximization of satisfaction and welfare. This is a patient-centric model that I observed at the clinical settings. I observed that this model provides a certain degree of autonomy to the patients. This model focused on patient-centred care in which nurse follows the responsibility of giving adequate time to the patient and address his concerns. Registered Nurse is responsible for managing all activities related to care such as planning and performing all aspects of nursing care.

The article provides an analysis of the patient centred Care model and its impacts on the patient's wellness. Adoption of this model leads to safe patient outcomes. The article explains that this model is more acceptable among patients because they demand adequate care and response from the nurses. Person-centred care (PCC) literature is used for assessing the effectiveness of the selected model of care. The findings indicate that patient-centred care is linked to high satisfaction and timely response. It ensures that the patients have access to adequate care irrespective of any discrimination. The model suggests the adoption of effective communications for improving the relationship of a nurse with the patient. This increases the likelihood of early discharge from the hospital. Integration of care stresses on providing access to care. The nurses adopt compassionate behaviour that include empathy and positive attitude. This model offers wider benefits compared to other care models. The findings suggest that the implementation of such a model will strengthen the relationship between nurse and patient that will increase the likelihood of recovery.

The article uses a team nursing model for assessing its relationship with patient health. Team nursing is a useful model for encouraging nurses to work in collaboration. The nursing care models have significant positive impacts in practical settings. The research was conducted by assessing the role of this model in 11 hospitals from different countries. Six-hundred and ninety-nine patients were considered for the purpose of the study. The results depict that the efficiency of nurses improved when they worked in teams.

The model of team nursing care can be adopted by hospitals for improving the work efficiency and productivity of nurses. This model follows the ideology of sharing responsibility. The nurse practitioners will support each other in the clinical settings that will enhance the quality of care. This is also useful for removing overburdens or stress related to work.

Summarize this assignment and what you learned about the two nursing care models discussed.

I learned that patient-centred care is an effective model that stresses on maximizing patient satisfaction. This model offers many benefits such as improved interaction between nurse and patient, maximization of welfare and reduction in the hospital stay. Nurses by addressing the individual needs of the patients will be able to take better roles. Compassionate care is also part of this model that suggests that the nurses must adopt empathetic and positive behaviors.

The results confirm a positive correlation between total patient care and health. Patients exhibited a high level of satisfaction and they faced no difficulties in following the treatment or medications. The model suggests that the registered nurse has a duty of prioritizing care according to patient needs. This improves the quality of care and reduces the hospital stay time.
