University of San Francisco Essay

Being part of the San Francisco University community, I believe, I have a responsibility towards my community in terms of eradicating social injustices. Education being a right of every individual, must be provided to every student and that is what the University of San Francisco believes in. We experience various incidents of social injustice which can hurt us as a community. We see many people being affected by the privilege; they are often denied of. This is what needs to be targeted and therefore, I had always tried to mend this problem on my own part. My efforts have been applauded by my high school instructors as well.

As I am a part of a bigger community, therefore, I believe, I have more responsibilities toward the society as a whole. I see different students struggling with their careers, they face hardships of different types, and eventually feel hopeless with their lives. This situation, in-turn, gives rise to social injustices and societal dissimilarities, which should be discouraged. Community engagement also helps to eliminate such problems from the society. Once university students start engaging with individuals of their own age, they get a better understanding of the problems, the society is going through.

Becoming a part of such a mission, was an opportunity I had been looking forward too. I believe, I will be able to get the resources required to engage with pupils and people of my own age. The University of San Francisco is a big platform and is bridging the gap between the disadvantaged people and the learned community, therefore, I will have many things to learn from the experience of my seniors. The Jesuit tradition of University of San Francisco is bringing substantial changes in the lives of students, and being a part of facing this challenge, I can be a part of the change, our society needs. This will be an opportunity, where my efforts will receive recognition.
