US Auxiliary Services
America is exposed to a wide variety of threats in the contemporary world. These threats can destroy the infrastructure and the critical infrastructure of the country in short spam. Thus protection of the country from different threats should be a priority not for any state organization but all the citizens residing in the country. For such purpose, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) collaborates with many state agencies and with non-profiting charitable organizations (Doss, McElreath, Wigginton Jr, Nations, & Van Slyke, 2013). Two such entities are the US Air Force Auxiliary and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. These agencies allow people to sign-up voluntarily for homeland security. I believe that I hold the same motivation for my country and I like to perform as a volunteer for these services because of the reasons discussed below.
Safety of the country is the responsibility of every citizen, and it is not the duty of the government only to protect the land and the people from all forms of threats. Therefore it is cardinal for every citizen, including me, to contribute to the safety of the country according to their own capacity and I can do it by providing my services in the auxiliary agencies. Another reason which can motivate me to sign-up as a volunteer is the fact that for the safety of the land and its critical infrastructure by the use of advanced technologies is only possible with the collaboration of the community (Eller, Gerber, & Robinson, 2017). The recognition of the importance of the community people by the homeland security or the Government of the USA has increased the level of my motivation, and I am more inclined towards serving my country without any personal gains.
Thus the above discussion sufficiently elucidates the reasons for me to provide my services as a volunteer for the greater good.
