As technology is booming, several boot camps and online courses are available, I could take the courses from the Ivies like UCs or MIT to learn programming which I’ve been doing for a while now. I made myself a promise that I shall be admitted to the top UCs where I could meet and get the opportunity to work with the outstanding academicians. Following this dream, I came here from Vietnam. Life is short and I believe we should own it and get the best out of it. When life can offer better things, why spend precious time at normal schools, have normal connections and then have a normal life. Time is of the essence, and it cannot be bought while more money can always be earned.

I believe formal education will help me achieve a stable job with high-income, while self-education will make me a fortune. I’ve been educating myself every day to build my own legacy. I dream of owning a domestic private company that would have the competency to compete with overseas companies and contribute significantly to Vietnam’s economy. I have read over 100 books and have excellent academic standing since elementary “book smart”. I have also been trying to get multiple jobs at start-up companies, grand-opening shops, and volunteering to gain the “street smart” attributes. Though the amount of work at new business was extremely tiring, the experiences I had were tremendous. I’ve learned a lot about leadership, management, problem-solving and teamwork skills. I managed to open my own coffee shop and helped my parents to manage and expand the business from 2 employees with 50 computers to 15 employees with over 200 computers within 3 years. Life is full of choices and I would rather try, fail and learn than regret for choosing not to do anything.

I consider myself as a well-rounded person. I believe my life experiences, determination, philosophical ideas and courage to make my own way will highlight me among others. However, what makes me standout is my adaptability in various settings. I am also fond of travelling and have been to 5 continents, 13 countries and 15 states. I have worked in culturally diverse environments which has given me the confidence to believe in myself and my abilities.
