The Pastor and His Work
In this chapter, the author discussed the life of the pastor. We respect the pastor and believe that he is the servant of God. God has chosen him to spreads his message to all people. Pastor as a person is much more than a religious person. When people do not find any solution to their problems whether they are rich or poor, they go to the pastor. Pastors take care of all the people who have no one to listen to them. The pastor also works as a businessman by organizing the budget and other works of the church. He spread the message of god to the Christians as well as those who don't believe in god.
Every person is special is not enough to say. Every person has its past which influences his future. All the factors including his culture, education, family background, financial condition have the impact on his preaching style, communication skills, and words choice. For instance, a pastor who was invited to a school told his story related to the rural area where he belonged. He had to change his wording because students were unable to portray the words picture of a rural area. Therefore it is necessary for the pastor to adjust according to the environment where they have to serve.
As pastor has family behind, he is just like a normal person, i.e. he needs necessities of life, that is why it is crucial that pastor has a strong background so that they can focus on church and god prayers without any tension due to the family issues. The family often do not understand the situation and demand for more attention toward home, which can create a problem for the pastors. It is pastor’s duty to balance his personal life and religious duty efficiently, as a pastor should be Christlike when he is at church and especially when he is at home.
