Which Super Bowl ad is your favorite and why?
“We all win” is my favorite Super Bowl ad. I like this ad because it inspires special children who, because of any disability, face various problems in daily life activities and may be considered as inferior. This ad encourages and motivates parents who are raising special children.
How did the ad make you feel?
I felt really touched after watching this ad, as it made me emotional. I am also grateful to those who are trying their best to improve the lives of physically challenged children. I think we all owe a special thanks to the modern technology and Microsoft who are thinking for improving the lives of the most challenged among us. I think, we should encourage those who are trying to reduce the difference between ordinary and special-needs children.
Describe the ad, the company, the brand, and the basic message?
This ad depicts physically challenged children performing activities that they love. They are being empowered by utilizing the latest technology. This ad was made and uploaded by Microsoft. It gives a very emotional message and is reminiscent of Microsoft’s 2014 advertisement. The basic message of this Super Bowl commercial is that when technology, without any discrimination, empowers any of us, it actually empowers all of us. When all are supported by technology, we all win; it is the central message of this ad.
What consumer needs were identified?
In this ad, the basic needs of the consumers were identified. Every child deserves the same kind of life, in spite of any physical challenge. No matter what kind of physical challenges a child is suffering from, he still needs to have a playful life, in which he can do whatever he enjoys. Self-amusement of targeted costumers was identified in this ad.
What was the target market and how was this market shown in the ad? Describe the demographic and psychographic characteristics you think ad targets. Explain why you think this.
The gaming market has been targeted in this ad and specifically the market involved in designing games for physically challenged children was kept in mind. This market has been depicted in this ad by highlighting the interest of special children in games. Population of differently enabled children and their caretakers were targeted in this ad. Taking a look at the psychographic characteristics that have been targeted in this ad it could be said that values, interests, opinion, activities, and behaviors were centrally focused.
Explain why you think the advertiser has targeted this group and chosen the Super Bowl to do so.
This fact cannot be denied that mostly people skip ads. They never pay attention to commercials but Super Bowl advertisements undoubtedly have become iconic because of their use of special effects and cinematographic quality. Top brands, for the promotion of their services and products found Super Bowl as the greatest platform where millions of viewers watch their ads within thirty seconds. Digital technology has effectively transformed consumer’s behavior towards the products and brands for the past two decades.
Do you think this advertisement is effective at gaining the attention of the target audience? Explain why and why not.
Yes, this ad effectively grasping attention of the target audience, as it could be seen that special–needs children wants to feel that they can do everything that a normal child can. Parents or guardians are being realized that the latest technology is helping their children how to face and compete with this world without feeling inferior because of their physical and mental disability.
Did the present a call to action by the consumer or merely try to present the brand? If the ad did call for customer action, what action was called for?
This ad served both the purposes, it called for an action and it promoted the brand as well. Firstly, talking about the call for action, it won't be wrong to say that it appealed to the consumers or their families to buy the products being displayed in this ad. By to appealing to consumers, it served the other purposes of branding as well: initiating action for buying easy to use technology and gadgets for facilitating the lives of physically challenged children was called.
What particularly did you like or dislike about the ad?
I like the whole ad but what I like the most is that parents are being motivated by Microsoft. It is using its latest technology to improve the life of physically challenged children. When parents see their children using these latest gadgets, they feel that their children are as capable as normal children. The emotional and satisfaction of parents, as depicted in this ad, is priceless, depicted in this ad. Feelings of parents while seeing their special-needs children doing things that they were not able to do in the past was most precious part of this ad.
The purpose of the advertising and marketing behind this commercial was probably to inform, reinforce past behavior, change behavior and creates sales. In your opinion, will the ad you have chosen do these things? Why or why not. What do you think could have been done more effectively?
The ad that I chose would help in reforming the behavior of people. Especially this ad would help in reforming the behavior of children and show how people should treat physically challenged children. Though this ad served various purposes, the primary aim is to inform and educate people. Companies having the latest technology should use it to facilitate the life of special-needs children. Anyone who watches this ad will be encouraged to change his/her past behavior. From a business point of view, this ad aims to increase the sales for this gaming system that has been particularly designed for the differently enabled children. As per my opinion, yes this commercial would serve all the above-mentioned purposes of advertisement and marketing. Veritably, it’s a good ad but if knowledge increasing elements and components were added in this gaming system, its effectiveness would have been increased.
