SANCTION APPEAL LETTER

Please accept this letter as an appeal to the suspension decision in the sanction dated.

In respect to my claim as a student in this institution, suspended for the participation in a group-me chat, with the rest of the class members.

My grounds for asking a reconsideration are

My past mistake was used in judgment where a plagiarism case I had participated as a new student was used to weigh my case.

I was participating in a group-me chat with my fellow classmates who received lesser punishments even though we were all participating in the chats

It is my first time attending school here and in my country, the rules are different, I am still not conversant with the rules here.

The school guidelines provide a framework for appeal in a case where bias is suspected during a hearing (Strassfeld 1121).

I have learned from my previous wrongdoing and have not been involved with a case of plagiarism as I familiarized myself with the rules and regulations.

I do not accept the decision to suspend me from summer class because I believe that the panel was biased in their decision. Proper procedure was not applied as my past case of plagiarism was used to judge my current case which resulted in a harsher punishment that the rest of the students partaking in the activities of the group-me chat. I request the board to review the decision and reconsider the penalty for my actions.

In case my review request does not reach the board, please contact me. I hope for a kind reconsideration as my studies are at stake. Please communicate any special terms of the appeal if I have not met them.
