Critically analysing, this option is less expensive costing only $132,100 and can be done at a quicker rate. However, this is not the long-term solution and the sagging issue may appear sooner and much worst. The second option recommends cutting out a small part of the sagging pipeline and then fix the rigid supports to pull up to the lowered part of the pipeline. This is a time-consuming task with a higher cost i.e. $403,600. However, this recommended procedure will ensure durability and reliability of the pipeline system for Big Lake city.

Therefore, it can be stated that the second option, even though it is time consuming and requires great cost/investment, is a better and more feasible option as it provides long term security to the community.
