How has My Study in This Unit Influenced My Understanding of Leadership Practice

The unit of Political Leadership helped me to learn a lot about leadership. With studying this unit, my understanding of leadership and practices of leadership has been enhanced with a huge amount of information injected by the study in this unit. Means that this study enhanced and made clear my understanding of leadership practices which were not as clear and boosted before this study and unit. Hence, by providing something huge and credible which enhance knowledge also put a huge impact on ones understanding about the thing he or she studied (Morton, 2017). Same is the case with me. This learning and study in the unit influenced my understanding of leadership practices in many ways.

The learning influenced my understanding of leadership practice in the way that there is a huge difference between leadership and political leadership. This means that I as a leader, should not consider both leadership and political leadership as one. This influence my understanding that I should be fully clear about the practices of each one in my leadership (Morton, 2017). Despite this, the learning and study in this unit also taught me that the leadership theories present in the recent and present time differ a lot than those proposed and presented in the past (Ali, et.al, 2017). So in this situation, I and my leadership practices have been influenced positively. Said positively, because I would follow the leadership theories as per their effective and perfection with the time and situation facing me in my leadership practices or activities (Dion, 1998).

Furthermore, the lesson and learning in this unit include the impact of politics and political activities are very crucial and high on the general concept of leadership (Von, et.al, 2018). So this learning influenced my leadership practices even entirely. Firstly, I was preferring to go with the leadership of my own preference and were thinking that there are no huge effects of politics of the general leadership but now, I would be used to consider the impacts of politics as well as its influence in the leadership and would lead the community or people accordingly (Hsin-Yi, 2018).

Final, the lesson, unit and my learning influenced my leadership practices in a manner that I was not considering the conflicts in political leadership but now, I think about each of the conflicts rises in political leadership and put efforts to overcome any barrier in my leadership as well and then proceed with my leadership practices (Windsor, 2017).
