Trans Politics Critical Analysis

In his book, Spade gives readers a look into critical trans politics and what it can do to do away with violence brought about through unequal life chances distribution through legal practices and social programs. It starts with a review of the work Dean Spade has done with Sylvia Rivera on law project and later on, Spade remembers the story about Jim and Bianca who had their trans identities intersected in may include oppression systems.1 The multiple different systems include acts of polices such as punishing and doing violence towards those already vulnerable.
Spade classifies the cases of Jim and Bianca as usual since most of the Trans clients Spade attended to have experienced litigation challenges. They have also had experiences whereby they were denied access to education, medical care, identity documents and worst still; shelter. After much thought, they could not understand why they were being treated in this manner and lost a sense of belonging.1
The amount of violence meted on the trans subjects is second to none; something Spade refers to as a combination of transphobia and system-wide double binds. In order. It is however, sarcastic the manner people vulnerable to violence are not given enough protection from such levels of aggression.1 In a nutshell, the minors or rather people of colour tend to suffer a lot because of unfairness in the manner the social structures are provided with few resources and reduce the chances of life. Most people who suffer in such cases are the LGBT community and an individual from the minority community.
Spade advocates that people should understand both the social and political environment we live in and desist from supporting such acts of violence on our fellow beings. Spade points out that to achieve this; one needs to know how anchored neoliberalism is whenever policies created and various attitudes as well as conditions and attitudes that govern all the social issues.
Due to neoliberalism's impact, efforts used in mobilizing social change typified. It is aimed at organizing the long and short-term goals that are within the business model and echo values relating to neoliberalism as well as resulting in violence. In as much as there are people against transgender issues, it should be handled with a lot of sobriety instead of resorting to violence.1 Giving a listening ear to the transgender group will go a long way ensuring their issues are properly understood within the society and thus accepted. Besides, it is okay for people to express themselves because how else would it be for the trans people to live, yet they are restricted by numerous rules that are threating to their being.
In conclusion, it would be much better if the government in place treated everyone equally by looking at all of them as human beings and not being unfair to any of them despite the differences in sexuality. Discriminating against an individual because of the manner they choose to live their life is uncalled for and much needs to be done in sensitizing people about this. It is about time people woke up to reality because sexuality is changing and a lot of people in the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transgender community are advocating for their place in the society, and something as simple as accepting them is enough.
