Push factors and pull factors are terms used for describing the reason behind migration from one place to another. Push factors are factors that force people from their respective home country, and these factors could prove dangerous if they stay. Pull factors are the factors that attract the migrants to the destination country.
Discussion
The quality of life is better in America, and one of the factors responsible for it is poverty. The better chances of education is also an essential factor of attraction. The already existing large communities of Mexicans in America is another factor of attraction. Poverty and Unemployment is a major issue in Mexico which has risen to a significant degree in the past couple of years forcing Mexicans to migrate to America. The crime rate in Mexico is very high forcing many Mexican towards America for safety. The disasters such as hurricanes and the shortage of natural resources such as water have also forced people to migrate to Mexico.
The opportunities for employment are the main reason that attracts so many European to America. Many European come to study in the United Kingdom. The immigrants of European Union also come to the United Kingdom to join their family members. Lower Job opportunities in their respective countries push many people towards immigration. Better economic opportunities in the United Kingdom is an essential push factor for many Europeans in term of business.
Conclusions
The economic factor is one of the most critical pull factors for European Union immigrant to the United Kingdom and the immigration of Mexicans to the United States.
