The provisional government of Russia was built after the remorse of the Russian empire during the world war 1 period. The new Russian government was looking for its entrance in the world war politics but soon after it came under the influence of Central powers. The power politics played by Germany was absolute as it wanted Russia to move away from the war and keep its hegemony alive. The opposition party of the provincial government was against the concept of war and Germany was under attack by the current Russian government. The signing of treaty played a vital role in ending the war between Russia and Germany (Swettenham, 2017). The very famous Treaty of Brest-Litovsk made the impact on Russian power house and Russia under the harsh conditions put forth by Germany accepted exit from the world war.

The condition set forth by Germany for Russian new government were very harsh as Germany demanded control over certain areas and Ottoman Empire also wanted to have its influence in some parts of the world (Zillman Elsbach, 2017). The Allied forces were offering the newly established Russian government with funding and military power, but the politics involved took away all of them and Russia signed the treaty.

The offer put forth by the Allied forces could have been a great deal for Russia, but the loss was great. More than a million Russians had already lost their lives in the great war and the desperation led to Russian treaty with Germany. If the Allied forces were offering physical strength in the Russian territory along with the promise of funding, Kerensky would have accepted the offer from the Allied forces, but the toll of life loss was great and hence Russia wanted out from the great war leading the Germany to sustain more proper grounds (Kenez, 2016). The conditions mattered at the time of the war and this is what anyone would have done to ensure that no further loss of life can be counted or even heard of.
