God gave instructions to Moses about the offerings of sacrifices from Israelites and the procedure of rituals that one must follow in order to make it acceptable.
From the offerings, which is left, must be given to Aaron's and son's because they are considered very holy in the sight of God.
If a person is to offer a goat, he should sacrifice it before God, and then sons of Aaron are to sprinkle its blood on the altar.
God gave instructions about the offerings of the sins. In order to have repentance acceptable, offerings are to be made following the law, which has separate rules for priests, community, princes, and for private persons.
God commanded special instructions for swearing and cleanliness and the offerings one must present before the fire of Lord in case of any violation.
Lord spoke to Moses about sins, including lie to neighbors, violence, false swearing, and other sins. Anyone guilty of committing such trespasses must restore what he took falsely and also present additional offering before the Lord as recompense.
God talked to Moses about more offerings related to guilt, peace, and violation of fat and blood offerings.
God commanded Moses to take Aaron with his sons for special offerings following the specific instructions from the law.
God showed the glory and sent fire, which consumed all the fat and burned offerings while people fell in prostration. Consumption of offering by the fire is the symbol of acceptance of the sacrifice.
Sons of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu died before the God. “took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD”. (Leviticus 10: 1&2)
God gave instructions about clean and unclean food and spoke to Moses to tell them that they are beast, and they should eat from the beats from the earth.
Lord spoke to Moses about instructions of law about women related to purification due to childbirth.
This chapter talks about God’s commands related to leprosy. The chapter is about what is the definition of leprosy in the law and what steps should be taken by the priest to handle the person suffering from it.
God gave commands related to the cleaning of a man suffering from leprosy. Special offerings and rituals from the law must be observed in order to cleanse him.
God likes cleanliness, and strict law postulates are given to Israelites in this chapter about personal hygiene and cleanliness. One must fulfill all the criterions of law in order to become pure and allowed for worship.
Commandments related to repentance and atonement are given by God in this chapter. Anyone who goes into the tabernacle for atonement must not come out until he makes atonement for himself, his family, and the whole of the Israelites.
God gave special laws related to the sacredness of the blood and commanded that nobody should consume any kind of blood. Anyone who eats it must be cut off.
God ordered Israelites to observe shame and modesty in their affairs and enlisted relations, which should not get naked in front of them. “The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness” Leviticus(23:10)
God commanded Israelites that they must remain just in their judgments, must love their fellow beings as their brothers, and must not inflict any kind of harm or suffering upon their neighbors.
God commanded Israelites to abstain from cursing their parents, committing adultery, uncovering the nakedness of their sisters, father’s and mother’s daughters. They should be holy as their Lord.
God sanctify priests and gave a code of conduct that every one among them must follow. In the case of profanity by a priest’s wife or daughter shall not be forgiven and must be dealt with severe punishment.
God commanded Moses to tell Aaron and his children to honor him with holiness and do not indulge in anything which is against their Lord’s sanctity and holy.
Holly days like the feast of the Lords are of special importance in the sight of God. “1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.” (Leviticus 23:1&2)
Anybody convicted of blasphemy must be put to death by stones. A man blasphemed the name of God and cursed him. God ordered Moses to kill him in the presence of all the children of Israel.
God gave instructions related to property and dwellings by making it clear to everyone from the children of Israel that land should not be sold forever because He alone is the master of all lands.
God gave a clear and strict command that no one should associate any partner with him by making an idol, sculpture or image and bowing down before them.
Offerings which are redeemed and which are not are explained according to the law in this chapter. One must follow all the instructions and commands to have his sacrifices and offerings acceptable.
