Various challenges are associated with ethnic diversity and few of the most important are include discrimination, prejudice and stereotyping etc. All the ethnic issues in diversity lead to ethnic tension either in an organization or a society (Slide 1). It has been witnessed that people are discriminated on the basis of their religion, color, language, nationality, and cultures, etc. When people are discriminated, feeling of hatred arose that becomes the root cause of clash among different classes giving rise to many issues (slide 2). Key ethic issues are prejudice, discrimination, bias and stereotyping. All these issues when arise, affect the smooth working of both organization and society, people are made realized that they are less than other so negativity arises which makes them rebellion. Ethnic issues force them to violate the rules and regulations (slide 3). Discrimination is one of the discouraging ethnic issues in which people are separated from others based on certain characteristics that could have been appreciated (Shangani et al, 2019). Discrimination divides people and eliminates the element of cooperation. Prejudice means holding negative beliefs about other groups considering ones own group superior and this ethnic issue becomes a cause of unrest and violence as well (Major et al, 2019). People belonging to same ethnic group favor each other despite realizing that they are violating others rights (slide 4). Treating people on the basis of color, language and religion damages their relation. In some cases, one considers his race superior to the others that also leads towards the violence. Generally, skin color is used as the main discriminatory factor that widens the gap among people of different ethnic groups (slide 5). Provision of the opportunities based on race, color and creed effecting the overall functioning of both society as well as organization (Hegde et al, 2019). People, belonging to the majority are given opportunities when there is a lack of opportunities (slide 6). Ethnic issues could be resolved by promoting equality, human rights. People must be educated about the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation. It is important to educate people that they must develop a healthy relationship among them so that all the issues of ethnic diversity could be resolved (slide 7).
