Ethics in Criminal Justice Administration Analysis

Role of Critical Thinking

Professional form of behavior is very important when it comes to law enforcement agencies and administration related to criminal justice. If the system of criminal justice takes actions that are unethical then the civilians stay in doubt about the authenticity of the system (Albrecht and Bakes, 2017). Thus, it is vital that the system of criminal justice shows proper professionalism and it should think critically before making any decision that has an impact on society. It is all because of critical thinking those judiciaries, police department and other law enforcement departments are able to make correct decisions and have positive approach. By thinking critically, the law enforcement systems are able to understand who actually is behind breaking a law or committing a crime (Albanese, 2016).

Proposal for Seminar

Seminars, as well as other training sessions, are a very good option to train officials. It helps the officers in ensuring that they have good self-control and reputation. It also helps the officers to build a personality on which the civilians can trust blindly. This eventually results in good communication between civilians and law enforcement agencies. There are five main aspects which we are going to discuss in this seminar. A lot of pressure is on these aspects of ethical conduct (Lowman & Palys, 2001).

Loyalty

Honesty

These aspects will be stressed in this seminar as it is important for the officers to possess these traits. If civilians can see these traits in the officers or law enforcement system, only then they can interact with them with full confidence.

Importance of these Ethical Conducts

As per my perception, this proposal for the seminar is exactly to the point and covers every aspect of ethical training that officers of law enforcement systems are in need of. Once they are trained well, they understand their position and responsibilities in much better way. It will also train them to utilize critical thinking patterns (Wolfgang, 1981).
