Religion is denominated to the set or system of beliefs and practices of a determined group in relation to a spiritual activity, ligature to the moral thing and that even is mixed with the supernatural thing - or that is outside the reach of the demonstrable character of science. There are hundreds of religions in the whole world, being able to find more than one practiced by country, although there may be a predominant one.
Religion is the immediate relationship of love of man with God, a relationship that, because it is dynamic, requires permanent cultivation. Religion as an institution is a dimension of religion. Ethics is human behavior. I do what I am, I am what I do. My ethics manifests my religion. Ethics, which is not the foundation of anything, is based on religion. I am ethical to the extent that I am religious. A good ethic comes from a good religion.
From remote times, the Man, before the curiosity and the mystery that generated him and continues generating it. The world and the universe that he inhabits, began to deepen in the reflection about the existence of superior forces, or over natural ones, that affect in terrestrial life. Thus, ancient peoples such as the Phoenicians, the Greeks or Romans, worshiped gods. Aphrodite was the Roman goddess of love, while Poseidon was the Greek god of the sea or waters. Although several classifications in terms of belief system or religions can be mentioned, but naming two: on the one hand, the monotheistic belief systems , which adore or have as superior to one God, as is the case of Christianity or the Islam. On the other hand, we find polytheistic religions, which worship two or more gods, not just one. Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, who are the examples named above, account for it. In many parts of the world, religious disputes generate warlike confrontations and wars, which end with the lives of many people and are conflicts that have been around for years, without apparent resolution. This is the case of the conflict between Palestine and Israel, or the clashes between countries of the Middle East.
We can almost never choose our neighbors; but one can accept the situation that is given. One of them is the coexistence with people of religions different from ours. When we encounter this situation, it is up to each of us to accept that coexistence. Being part of a religious community or not being part of it is also a difference that exists in our society and that is important to accept. "It is not worth discussing if there is a God or not, since these are beliefs that people have the right to have or not. You cannot impose the existence of a supreme being, but neither can you impose the belief that nothing superior exists.
