Ethical Responsibility [Name of the Writer][Name of the Institution]
Ethical Responsibility
Social responsibility is the duty of every individual to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystem. As an FBI director it will be the social responsibility of him to provide people with justice. FBI director is responsible is for any outcome of the FBI. Social responsibilities and public interest intersect in a way that both are almost the same, but social responsibilities are for different communities according to their culture, and public interest includes everyone in public. As the director, the social responsibilities of the FBI director are to enforce the law in the United States and public interest will be to enforce the law in all the countries. They are responsible for any crime or violation in the society. They have to make sure that they are providing justice to the people of the United States. FBI director should be neutral, and his decisions are not based on color, race, culture, or group. They have to be ethical in every situation and before taking any decision they have to investigate that properly. Social responsibility and public interest intersect for the role of FBI director because he has to make decisions which are fair and benefit everyone and which are not favoring any particular culture or society (Soule, 2009).
Public Administrator responsibility to stakeholder from an ethical standpoint is to serve the community. Their fundamental responsibilities are to serve the community and to protect their lives and properties. Administrator responsibility also includes providing justice and equality to people. They have to protect innocent people in society and to bring peace in the society. The administrator should respect the constitutional rights of all to equality, justice, and liberty. They have to make every decision fairly without any biases. (Grant, 2002).
The duty of public administrator is to provide justice to people as FBI director and enforce the law in the country to avoid any violence. The decisions of the public administrator will depend a lot on his character and his position as FBI director. The character of the administrator must express a symbol of public trust and faith. The decisions are made which will benefit the public. The duty of public administrator needs to keep informed of applicable laws and regulations. They have to accurately and honestly present all the facts, and it will be their duty to make sure that ideal service is provided to the public. They have to continue their education to improve their skills and increase their knowledge. (Cohen & Eimicke, 1991).
The code of ethics for the administrative role will be to value their profession. They have to work hard to maintain their reputation and have to fulfill the needs of the clients to their best ability. Administrators have to follow the professional standards and maintain their confidence. They have to be honest and fair in every situation to achieve public satisfaction. Administrators have to inform their stakeholders of laws and regulations. They need to be cooperative with the public. The administrator must place loyalty to the constitution and the laws. The administrator is not allowed to engage in financial transactions using any government information for their personal interest. They have to put their full effort to improve their performance. The administrator is not allowed to make fake promises with anyone or make any unauthorized commitments. They are not allowed to use their position for any private gain. The administrator should act fairly and not give anyone preference in the public or private sector. They have to address the higher authority for any abuse, fraud or corruption case. Administrators are not allowed to engage in outside activities. They should follow all the laws and regulations and have to provide equality to everyone in America regardless of race, color, origin, sex, or age. Before taking any action, the administrator needs to make sure that he is not violating any law and regulation or standard of ethical conduct. It is the duty of administrator to protect the property of the FBI and not use in any activity outside the organization (Brandl & Maguire, 2002).
It is essential for the administrator in this role to perform every action legal and an ethical manner. Every action of the administrator will have a significant impact on society. So, he/she needs to be fair while taking any decision it will impact a lot on the United States and FBI. FBI is an intelligence agency, and people have faith in this agency for a long time. A good leader is responsible for every outcome of the organization and administrator role is just like a leadership role. The administrator has to decide how to take actions on certain problems of people and how they can be resolved. If the administrator is not able to perform according to the expectation of FBI, then it will have a huge impact on the United States. FBI is responsible for controlling violence and has a huge responsibility of investigating against criminals. If the decision of the FBI is not fair and their decisions are biased, then it will be a concern for people of America, and it will affect the whole United States (Velasquez, 2000).
