Domestic Terrorism and Threat Groups
Terrorism is not an issue of a single country; it is a global problem and almost every country is striving in curbing this evil. Some countries are at the tip of terrorism and are often victimized by any single terrorist or a terrorist party working for some specific cause. A new form of terrorism and threat is arising in the circle of terrorism by the name of “Domestic Terrorism”. Domestic terrorism refers to the attack on or the victimization of the citizens of any country or state by the individuals who hold the same nationality of the same state (Enders, Sandler, & Gaibulloev, 2011).
The country of the United States of America has been fighting with the evil of domestic terrorism for a long time. Every now and then, there comes a piece of news that some domestic group or party has risen to power and creating troubles for the local and even national government. There are multiple types of parties and organizations that are working in the United States of America in respect of domestic terrorism. The most prominent one of them are as follows:
The Earth Liberation Front:
This domestic terrorist party is an extremist group of people who are fighting for the safety of the environment. The work against the factors that contribute to the exploitation and destruction of our planet and us the techniques of gorilla warfare are economic sabotage.
The Ku Lux Klan:
Although the civil war had freed all the slaves working in the United States of America and granted many rights to the newly freed slaves, still many people think that there is a serious flaw in the system. Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is such a group that uses threat, arson, violence and even murder to propagate its anti-communist, Anti-immigrant, anti-black and white supremacist agendas (Alexander, 2015).
