The criminal justice public policy is used in many different manners. In addition to providing guidance to officials in the criminal justice department, these policies are relevant to cases that require a high level of discretion. For example, cases pertaining to sexual offenses, which in any way link with the officials working at the higher end of the hierarchy. These offenses might include sexual abuse, web-based predatory offenses or other sex-related crimes in federal jurisdiction. The Military Sex Offender Reporting Act of 2015 is the same Congressional Act, which in spirit prevents such offenses.
Considering the novelty introduced by the Military Sex Offender Reporting Act of 2015, the criminal justice public policy expands its role to suggest remedies for the flaws in this act. The Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) is also a component of the standardization mechanism related to such offenses.
The criminal justice public policy is a remedy to the above mentioned laws by suggesting minimum requirements for sex offenses as well as their notification and registration.
