I have selected Giving Hope Inc as my nonprofit agency. The community needs that the nonprofit to address homelessness. The organization has various programs to address the issue of homelessness including the long term and the short term program. The long term program is for the people who are homeless, and they require assistance to support themselves. They are provided with shelter until they save adequate amount of money and the organization will assists them in attaining affordable housing. The short term program is for individuals who have little money not enough to cover their everyday expenses and rent. They then show budget counselor their progress in a few months. A lot of people have problems with the management of their funds, and when they ran out of cash, they are rendered homeless. The agency is trying to reduce the number of homeless people. The program will improve the community by having people who are well conversant with budgeting of finances and not be able to be broke all the time and ending up being evicted from their houses. The agency will improve the problem of homelessness by having budget counselor talking to people on the importance of managing their funds well. I think I will know that the program run by the agency has succeeded in addressing the needs of the community when the number of people who are homeless reduces.

I want to seek a grant to fund the initiative of provision of shelter to homeless people through the Giving Hope Inc. I have found various opportunities, and the reason for this is because homelessness has become a principal problem in America. Many people are being evacuated from their houses for failing to pay rent because of lack of proper budgeting of their funds. Reducing homelessness in society has been of main concern among people. Below is the possible source of funding:
Grants for the Homeless: It provides grants to the nonprofits organizations for the provision of programs like shelter, emergency services, parenting, food pantries, counseling, family stability, and counseling services. The grant is for family-oriented projects and programs that concentrate on the areas of homelessness, educational success and, and health. Statement of the problem
The rate of school dropout in Texas, Denton region is high. Research conducted established that the high rate of dropout is as a result of lack of mentorship and school feel for most students. It is also as a result of lack of proper nurturing and therefore, several students drop out of school as a result of drug and other peer group influence. A study conducted by Giving Hope indicates that Denton region has high rate of poverty, teen pregnancy and other social problem such as drug abuse. These result to high rate of school dropout and therefore, reduce the living standard of several young people in the society. Without proper and efficient problem the problem could become a big issue and therefore, it is important for the organization to work together with the community and state government to provide a permanent and temporary solution. Research indicates that 10% of school going girls involves in premature sex and 20% 10% of school girls get pregnant annually (Melik, 2015). The rate of drug abuse is also high and this has affected many students and therefore, results to school dropout. This situation could be addressed through established strong mentorship group within the school to nurture young kids and adults. This would reduce the risk and establish a strong link between students, community, and the school.
Giving Hope Inc believes that forming a mentor group system in collaboration with community centers would be essential in addressing the deficit in the society. The organization therefore, intend to work with schools, community centers and parents to address the issues by establishing a strong network, which can allow issues to reported and working together with several mentor groups to address the problem the community is facing.
If this problem is not addressed efficiently, the rate of graduates in the community will drop drastically and this is likely to affect the community economically in the future. It is also likely to increase the number of homeless in the society and poverty index as well. Failure to address the problem can also increase the rate of robbery, and other elements criminality in the society (Karen, 2014). Education is a key to success and lack of it affects the community negatively. It is therefore, important for the organization to work closely with the community and the state to address the problem, which affect the community of Denton for the greater good of the future of the community and the state government.

Goals and Objectives
The goal is obtain the funds to finance the mentorship program and other programs highlighted by the organization, which can help in addressing the problem faced by Denton County. The objective is to offer mentorship and provide homes to the homeless, Giving Hope also work together with local and state government to address issues affecting women in the society. It provides loans to women through its table banking platform. It is, therefore, important to note that Giving Hope Inc. understands the deficit in the society and it would use funds available to address the gaps and make sure that the real issues are properly addressed for the best interest of the community. Giving Hope Inc., therefore, proposes to run a mentorship problem for students in high school and also young adults who have graduated from college. The mentorship program to cover areas such as career development, job hunts, and life skills to make sure that the community is well prepared for life. It is because research has indicated that students suffer stress, and depression resulting in drug misuse and other related problems.
The mentorship program will benefit young girls and boy going to high and college. Most students do not have career choice and this makes it difficult for many of them to make a choice on what to do in life. However, the mentorship program would help students to make the right choice on their career and work towards achieving them. The problem would also help in reducing the drug abuse rate in the community and rehabilitate many young people. It is, therefore, important to note that it is likely to reduce the number of school dropout in the community and also improve the living standard of many young people.
The mentorship will be done by the organization through Skype and physically at the community centers across the region. Since the internet is available across the state, Skype will be an essential tool in reaching the majority of young people and parents to mobilize them for the mentorship program. It will be conducted at the community centers for at least four days a week. Mentors will meet with students at the center and talk in relevant issues affecting their lives and provide important advice and teaching regarding career development, drug abuse or use, life skill and talk about sex and sexually transmitted diseases (STD), which is high in the community.
The Giving Hope Inc. to partners with Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation to provide homes to the homeless living in Denton County. The partnership program to will include pay rent for the homeless and the construction of better houses as a permanent solution to the problem of homeless in the community.
