Biography:
David Bowie was an English singer, writer and actor whose real name was David Robert Jones (North,et,al,1995). He was one of the leading figures of English music industry and was regarded as the most influential musician of his time. He was born on 8 January 1947 in South London. In 1969 he released his first song "Space Oddity." As an actor, he started working in movies in 1975 and he starred his film career with “The Man Who Fell to Earth” and also he was inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of fame in the year 1996 soon after the release of his final album after which he died of cancer in 2016 on January 10.
Family:
His father’s name was Haywood Jones and mother’s name was Margret Mary Jones. He had two half-sisters and a half-brother and his elder brother was his inspiration for becoming a singer. He married twice; his first wife was a model and actress Mary Angela Barnett. They both had a son, who was named Duncan, but they got separated after a decade of a union, then again in 1992 he fell in love with a Somali America mode Iman and welcomed their daughter Alexandria in 2000.

Bowie took admission in Burnt Ash junior school in 1955 where his voice was considered adequate by the choir of the school. He exhibited above average ability at school in the field of music. After finishing his junior school, he joined Bromley Technical High School. At teens, he started playing different musical instruments and began performing at the local Wolf Club group. At his school, he studied many arts including music and design that also included layout and typesetting.

During and after his life, he won several awards and was known as the most beloved fashion icon. Despite performing live on stage, he also dabbled in acting and played his most iconic role in movie Labyrinth. He released more than 25 albums. One of the most important accomplishments is that his name is there in the list of Greatest 100 Britons.

Like most of the artists, David also not had a great beginning of his career. During the early years of his career, he faced many challenges. One of the first challenges that he suffered in his career was no proper response to his first track "Liza Jane." He was among one of the most famous actors of his time, he made an entry in the film industry, and he made his last entry in a film that was released in 2017. He was a sensational singer who brought revolution in the music industry and gave new paradigms to his followers. He was a film producer and produced many films in his life. He served as a record producer. He also served as a songwriter as he used to write most of his songs. He also worked as an arranger an in short it could be said that he did many jobs.

Being an artist, he was very interested in playing different musical instruments. His hobby was playing various instruments that would relax him (Doggett,et,la,2011). Another hobby that was quite unusual for the world was that he was a book lover. In his career many times he has talked about his love for reading. There were hundreds of books, he read. He was not only a book lover but he used to talk about the writer he liked in many interviews as well.

According to the Celebrity Net Worth, his net worth was 230$ million. He left around $100 million for his family members and second wife Iman. Most of the money he made from music though he joined many other professions as well.
Defeats:
He had many minor defeats in the career but there was prominently one defeat that took his life. He developed liver cancer and battle for about eighteen months with this disease. In the end, he was defeated by liver cancer just two days after releasing his twenty-fifth studio album on 10 January 2016.
