Maje and Sandro are some of brands dealing with both female and male clothes and other garments. Both brands are located in Manhattan, New York. Studies show that both are Paris brand specialized in all kind of clothes ranges from children to adult. The stores compete in high quality provision of clothes and other wears. Observation at the stores of both Maje and Sandro indicate that both stores are of high quality of garments and most of them are for women. It can therefore, be summarized that the stores invest a great deal on women products. The competition therefore, focuses on the best way to lure women customers to increase their market share in the region. This paper, therefore, provide detailed analysis of the Maje and Sandro stores based on the service provision and the techniques used by both firms to appease their customers in order to build a strong brand in the market.
Compare and contrast of Maje and Sandro
Though Maje and Sandro are located in the same region, the two brands have different merchandised story hanged at the display level of their stores. There is a note hanged in front of the store on the display sections “End of Summer Sale: Up to 70% off” This message inform the customers of the discount being offered by the company during the summer sales. At Maje stores there are three merchandised messages which are hanged. The hanged poster in front of the store read “Back to School” “70s belong to women,” office glam. The selection of products is based on design, color products and the fabric quality CITATION Maj19 \l 1033 (Maje, 2019). The trend color is red, pink and blue and the new arrivals products are highly preferred in both stores. Therefore, the trend in the market which determines the sales of the products for Maje and Sandro are color, designers and the weather. The market trend of clothing industry is determined by fashion industry. Maje and Sandro regularly designed new fashion to compete in the market.
Both Maje and Sandro stocked variety of products. Maje mostly stocked female clothes and other garments. The store sells skirts, handbags, Tweed-style contrast jacket, ruffled shirt, and Reversible poncho coat. In short its sells female clothing, bags, and accessories. It is why Maje is regarded as women store because most of the products sold at the store are for women. However, Sandro sells variety of products including male wear. At Maje basis products at are store are reversible poncho coat selling at $98, skirts at $35 and female’s pants at $45. Sandro sells both male and female clothes and other garments. The merchandises sold are shoes, jacket and dresses. The company offer variety of clothes to both male and female and therefore, this is a major different it has with Maje. Fashion is based on the weather and therefore, during winter and summer different fashions are designed and sold by the firm in all its stores. It mostly sells jeans at a regular price of$ 95, Skirts at $45 and other assortments.
The merchandise in both stores are organized in categorize based on age and fashion and design. At Sandro merchandise are also arranged based on sex, age and fashion. The sale merchandise are kept or hanged around the transparent window for easy view by customers. The price tags are also price on top of merchandise and therefore, this makes it easier for customer to identify each product and its price without asking questions. Most of the merchandise sold by Maje and Sando are national brand CITATION San19 \l 1033 (Sandro, 2019). Maje sells Suede fringe handbag, Tweed-style contrast jacket and ruffled shirt as some of its national brand. Sandro national brands are skirts and dress. It stocks straight cut trousers, long fashioned skirts and dresses which are stocked throughout the country in their stores. In both stores, full dresses, skirts are shoes are seen often placed at the windows of the stores. The latest fashion and the best products or merchandise are place at the window for display.
On the home page of both companies a well meaningful message is coined to convinced clients. Sandro home page clearly written office glam as a welcoming message and this could be interpreted to mean it has office wear for all clients. There is also another message “70s belong to women” On the website of Sandro, the welcoming message is an image giving an option to either pick female or male clothes. The websites of both show fashion and design since the images on the websites are of high quality clothes being sold by the stores.
In conclusion, both stores are fashioned and investment heavy in high designers. The merchandise is arranged in a similar manner in both stores. The average prices of products sold at Meja and Sadro are almost similar. The major different between the two store are area of focus since Meja focus on majorly on women clothing and Sandro sells both male and female clothes.
