Introduction
With the mounting crime rates, many scholars are doing in-depth analysis of the sources that are becoming the root cause of the crimes. Most of the crimes are being committed by the youngsters. According to the researches, there exists a direct relation between family and crimes. Family factors shape up the personality of children and determine how responsible citizen they are going to be. Family plays the key function in developing the characteristics that would define a person i.e. behavior and morality etc. It has generally been considered that broken families cannot usually guide their children how they are expected to behave. Family issues and parental differences directly affect the behavior of the child. This development includes emotional, physical and intellectual growth of a child that shapes up the social behavior of the individual over time. It is a technique used which involves looking after or monitoring the activities of their children.
Discussion
Two terms have been used as conceptual terms i.e. dysfunctional family and psychological development) and two terms as operational terms i.e. parental supervision and rebellious attitude). A dysfunctional family is a family in which misbehavior, conflict, child abuse occurs continuously that lead other members to accommodate such actions. Psychological development could be defined as a scientific study of how and why a change occurs in the life of a human being. One of the first terms that have been used in the operational context in the research proposal is parental supervision. Parental supervision in this research has been used for pointing towards the checking and balance of the parents over their children (Dolansky et al, 2019). Parental supervision is necessary as young children are incapable of looking after them and are incapable of making wise decisions. The rebellious attitude in this research paper has been used for the children who deviate from the conventional ways because of a dysfunctional family or familial factors that pushed them to behave in inappropriate ways, usually criticized by the society. Relationship is another operational term which has been used to define the cause and effect link between children and family. In this research paper, it has been shown that people and their behavior are interlinked i.e. one element or participant affects role and behavior of the other.
Taking a look at the research paper and question (is there any relationship between the family), it has been witnessed there are different factors termed as variables that influence the behavior and activities of people particularly of children according to this research. Variables are the factors that determine how and why certain elements affect behavior and activities. A survey conducted in this research paper is influenced by various variable i.e. age, occupation, social condition, family bonding and level of education, etc. It has been witnessed that all the above-mentioned variables greatly define and affect the behavior of children and determines the overall crime rate of an area (Fredriksen et al, 2019). Family bonding is the most important of all the variables as it determines how close a child and parents would be and how interested parents would be in making their child a responsible citizen. Social conditions are the second important variable as it depicts the social image of the parents and predicts what sort of upbringing a child is going to have. Occupation could be termed as the next important variable as it would define the way how parents and children would understand the importance of their role. If a parent has a good job, he would provide all the best things to his/her child that would ultimately keep him/her away from the crimes (Zellweger et al, 2019). Next variable that is of great importance is educational; if parents would be well-educated then they could better train their children what society expects from them and how they must behave.
Conclusion
Taking a look at the above-mentioned discussion, it could be said that family is one of the most important institutes that teaches a child how to live and behave in society he/she live. Parents are the key figure that determines and draft the personality of a child. Parental differences and broken families are considered to be the main factors for increasing crime rates among youngsters. Few of the key terms are being used in this research that shows how important certain terminology helps in relating and making people understand more about what one wants to say. Certain factors affect the pattern and way a thing is expected to work. There are variables in this research paper that controls and depicts the future better than how parents would educate their children. These factors also influence the behavior of the child directly. So, as a whole it could be promulgated that the behavior of the children is shaped up by different factors (variables). Society and human conditions influence child behavior. If the conditions are in favor and children would be trained well by their parents, ultimately crime rates would decrease. Family is also the factors that could be used for mitigating the crime ratio if the children are given love and affection that they need and could contribute a lot in reforming society by reducing crime rates.
