Understanding the internal environment is a necessary attribute of a modern tourism and hospitality manager.
In todays business and the modern world, everyone prefers to ensure quality in what they offer. It means that everyones concern in todays world is to ensure attribute in the era he/she is engaged in. Same applies to the modern tourism and managers of this field or industry (tourism and hospitality). But to make it sure, there are different factors that play huge roles. One of these is the internal environment. It means that the factor called the internal environment is an important attribute of a modern tourism and hospitality manager.
The internal environment is so important or necessary because of many concerns. But, the most and a highly crucial concern is the innovation in modern tourism that is almost the job of a hospitality manager. Many people think about innovation or see innovation in advanced technology and see it as success in life. But in tourism and for a hospitality manager, the key determinants mainly include the work-life balance, utilization of the sustainability indicators, the importance of knowledge of the industry, and catering demographic factors are perceived as success and improvement determinants (Akbaba, 2006).
Hence and in short, understanding the internal environment is an important/necessary attribute of modern tourism and hospitality manager and management because it (internal environment) leads to innovation (improvement in work-life balance, utilization of the sustainability indicators, knowledge of the industry, and catering demographic factors) (Baum, Amoah, and Spivack, 2007). While covering these matters/concern is a hospitality managers job.
