The idea of equal employment developed during the civil war period to make the females and other minorities equal to their white-male counterparts. Although Title VII of the civil action is aimed to protect the women and other workers from discrimination depending on their skin color, gender and ethnicity but several other legislations needed to be introduced to make them more secure. Therefore, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission was designed in 1965 exclusively to protect minorities and females against unequal employment practices. Equal Employee Opportunity is important both for individuals and organizations. For certain sports organizations, these laws provide equal and secure platforms for individuals to move forward depending upon their talent solely, not on race, color, gender or ethnicity. When such organizations make sure that they abide by such laws, then it is easy for them to attract well qualified, talented and dedicated candidates. Secondly when Equal Employment Opportunities are provided to all, then such organizations will have a diverse workforce, which again gives full representation and freedom to every citizen.
There are many benefits of implementing this rule in sports department especially. The significant role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is the implementation of central laws related to non-discrimination in the workplace. When there is non-discrimination, then that means that players regardless of their color, race and ethnicity can participate and represent their country, so in this way such country can also promote their cultural diversity because sports provide such platform where one can easily represent his/her cultural diversity due to its international recognition.
In sports it is very important to evaluate everyone on the basis of his/her talents regardless of their color, ethnicity and gender therefore, EEOC ensures that everyone should be treated equally and any progress will be made by talent. So in this way players are also encouraged, and their self-confidence is boasted. This commission was made to make sure that there will be no discrimination among employees. The basic purpose of this law is to provide equal opportunities to everyone regardless of age, gender and ethnicity.
