Assessment of Your View of Human Nature
To comprehend human nature, one needs to be aware of the multifaceted nature of human life. Annals of history reveal that social thinkers, philosophers and the social scientists developed several theories to understand the meaning of life on the universe and the complex human nature. The results of the human nature survey are another reflection of those theories and concepts that are widely used for understanding human nature. First of all, the psychoanalysts believe that instincts are really powerful in directing the behaviour of the person. Some 88pc items were in the domain of the Sigmund Freud such as the early-childhood experiences and the process of developing model personalities. Then the analytical school of thought has 86pc of the results where the rational thinking of the people often reflect their choices in life. The psychodynamic score highlights the importance of past experiences in human nature. The Existentialism is 88pc in the results where it is illuminated that man comes in this world where there is no meaning and he gives meaning to his own life. Moreover, the Carl Rogers person-centred school is also obvious in the survey results where a person's innate potential is impeded by those around him. Finally, the postmodernists throw light on the social construction of realities which is widely prevalent in the world. 87pc results are reflecting the postmodernism in human nature an human life.
The results of this survey are not shocking to me. Besides, they is the acuate picture of human nature which is quite complex. There can be no single model to understand it fully and effectively. Varied schools of thought and their theories are relevant in understanding the different sides of human nature and human life on this planet.
