Self-appraisal
My involvement in the project provided me the opportunity to identify my strengths and weaknesses. Three strengths that I possess include; leadership ability, conflict management competency and the ability to communicate effectively. My weaknesses include; taking stress, impatience, and anger.
My ability to familiarize myself with technology is my visible strength. I managed to use instant messages, e-mails, and telephony more conveniently and realized that they are tools for building interactive platforms between managers and employees. I believe I would be able to use my strengths like problem-solving attitude in my career. When I was assigned the task of researching the scope of artificial intelligence I did not panic. I attempted to resolve the problem by conducting research and identified ways for its implementation. My effective communication skills allowed me to convey the progress of the project or tasks in a coherent manner.
My prominent weakness involves the inability to managing stress. In extreme challenging situation such as designing budget made me in the project made me tense. I also face difficulty due to my impatient nature because I want results immediately. during the project, I was pushing team members to work fast. This can have an adverse impact on my professional life and career. It was difficult for me to control anger when one of the team members didn't follow instructions.
I possess fluid intelligence because in every challenging situation I think logically. During the project when I encountered a conflicting situation I considered reasoning for convincing one of the team members about AI CITATION Hef18 \l 1033 (Lifshitz, Verkuilen, Shnitzer-Meirovich, & Altman, 2018). My professional experience allowed me to learn that fluid intelligence is more effective in resolving challenging problems.
The most effective leadership style is strategic leadership. This style doesn't follow rules and ensure that the situations remain stable. I used strategic leadership for managing team members of diverse backgrounds.
